When Aiden heard the panicked voice, his heart started thumping loudly. He adopted a defensive posture and began sizing Harry up and down.
"He's acting normal. Is there a chance he doesn't know what this sword means?" Aiden pondered. He calmed down and resumed his strong, gentlemanly demeanor.
Although he had never seen this sword, it has always been on their target list.
he suspected that Harry didn't know how to use the sword, but he didn't want to take any risks, so he called out, "Test is over."
Harry looked at him, confused by Aiden's change in expression. 'It seems this sword is more special than i thought. I would like to ask about it later,' Harry thought.
"We will announce the selected names in the next five minutes," an instructor informed.
-----
The lady asked, "Why does this kid have the 'Soul Judgement Sword'?"
"I don't know, but it seems like he doesn't know about it," Aiden replied.
"Should we take him to the academy? Isn't it too risky?" the lady asked.
"I don't think it will be that risky if we just tell him to hide that sword from others. It could be a blessing for the academy if he learns how to use it," Aiden said, rubbing his forehead. 'And we can stop a talent from choosing the wrong path,' he murmured.
________
Now all the students were lined up, waiting for the announcement.
"Four people have passed," Aiden announced.
"Names are..." Before Aiden could announce the names, another instructor came and whispered something to him. Sparks could be seen in his eyes. 'What a day, I found a soul body and an emperor's bloodline,' Aiden thought.
"Sorry, for some reason I forgot one person. There are five people who have passed," Aiden said excitedly. "Harry, Blake, Tyler, Liam, Meru."
With this, the results were announced. Remaining participants felt jealous of those who passed, but there was nothing they could do.
"We will leave tomorrow for the academy," Aiden announced. "Harry, you stay here. Others can go," Aiden instructed.
Tyler winked at Harry and left. The others also left the area.
"Let's go for tea," Aiden said to Harry. It was stated as request but tone was domineering.
"I have to do something," the lady said and fled when she saw Harry.
Aiden and Harry went to a cafe and sat at a table in the corner. Sitting comfortably on the chair, Aiden ordered tea.
It was a long, awkward silence when Aiden finally asked, "Where did you get that sword?"
"Is it necessary to tell?" Harry replied, raising his eyebrows.
"Haha... it's okay if you don't want to tell," Aiden said, waving his hand dismissively. "But do you know that the sword is special?"
Harry knew the sword must be special because he got it from a so-called leader. He replied with a blank face, "I know."
"Hahaha," Aiden laughed again. "I don't think you know. If you did, you would never have used it in public," Aiden said, changing to a serious expression.
"I know that sword is special but don't know why it is so special. If you know, then tell me," Harry replied, shrugging his shoulders.
"That's why I came here with you. That sword is named 'Soul Judgement Sword.' I noticed that you don't know how to use it," Aiden said.
"So, do you know how to use it?" Harry interjected.
"I also don't know because it has been a legendary item that got lost with the third soul clan leader. But there is some information in books.
If someone uses that sword, the user also suffers from its powers. Every attack targets the opponent's soul, so it's more like a double-edged sword.
The more power you receive from the sword, the more you will suffer. It's better to avoid using it. Try to hide it.
If anyone sees it and the soul clan gets wind of it, you will be hunted to death by the soul clan," Aiden explained as much as he could. Although it wasn't true because the soul clan would never want to lose such a precious person.
"What is this soul clan?" Harry asked.
"There is a group of people who has mastered soul cultivation," Aiden replied.
"Then isn't it better if I join them? Then I could cultivate my soul cultivation faster," Harry asked curiously.
Aiden scratched his head. "It's not like our academy doesn't have soul cultivators. The soul clan uses some immoral ways to become stronger, like feeding on someone else's soul or transferring their soul to a stronger person's body," Aiden said, finding himself at a losing position.
'It's similar to what that person did in the cave, feeding on souls. When he found me, he tried to transfer his soul into me,' Harry thought. Harry was about to ask why they used those methods or where the soul clan currently was, but Aiden interrupted.
"No more questions. I already told you more than you should know. Just never use that sword in front of someone.
There are some theories written in books, like using soul energy to activate the weapon or making a type of contract with the sword. Every time you go against it, you will suffer."
"I don't know which one is true, but you can try them out." Aiden stood up, about to leave.
Harry didn't completely believe his words.
Was the soul clan really bad or was Aiden trying to influence him? There were many things that didn't match up, like why that leader would come here and wait for a weak person like him if he could transfer his soul to others.
He was also surprised that if the sword was as legendary as Aiden mentioned, why didn't Aiden took it himself? There was no way Harry could oppose him.
"Wait, one more question," Harry requested as he saw Aiden leaving.
"What was that gold color on that instructor?" Harry asked.
Aiden smiled. "Oh, you are talking about the 'Golden Body Technique.' You can learn techniques like this once you become an inner disciple of the academy. Don't be sad; you will also get some good techniques in the outer area."
"What is the inner and outer area?" Harry asked, confused.
Aiden smiled and said, "Meet you tomorrow," and then left the café.
Harry slammed his hand on the table. "What is this behavior? At least answer my question," Harry exclaimed. It was not out of anger, it was just frustration because of so many unanswered questions.
Then he noticed everyone glaring at him with fear. When he turned his head, he saw a broken table.
He paid for the table and headed toward the Star Association.
Harry was in deep thought. 'combat techniques are that powerful. It seems like I should go through those cultivation books from the ring. I am sure there should be some combat techniques.'
He arrived at the Star Association, where Liam was giving information about the academy to Tyler and Meru.
"Liam, can you help me find information about Jason Smith in the Star Association database?" Harry asked after settling down.
"I will try to talk to my father and tell you tomorrow if I find out," Liam replied. Liam recently learned that Jason was Harry's father.
"Let's go together. I was waiting for you because my father wants to meet you, and you can also meet your mother before leaving," Liam said.
Harry nodded and went with Liam to the castle.
