Meanwhile, a helicopter bearing the Macro Cosmos company logo slowly descended onto the lawn of the Galar Royal Castle's courtyard.
"What happened here?"
As soon as she got off the helicopter, Oleana saw dozens of security guards writhing in pain on the ground.
Beside them lay their fainted Pokémon.
"What's that?"
Rose, who had also just disembarked from the helicopter, fixed his gaze intently on the right side of the castle.
"Hmm?"
Hearing her superior's voice, Oleana turned to look as well.
The scene that followed made her elegant features twist in shock.
A massive energy blade over a hundred meters long extended outward, piercing through the castle wall and leaving a gaping hole.
Then the blade turned.
Swoosh—
The enormous castle was split in half like tofu.
BOOM—CRASH!!!
The upper half of the castle was blown over a hundred meters into the air by the terrifying energy wave, then crashed heavily into the back courtyard.
The violent tremor made Oleana stumble, but Rose, despite his corpulent frame, remained perfectly still and composed.
Few people knew that Rose himself was an extremely powerful trainer.
He had once won second place in the Galar Star Tournament.
"Let's go, Oleana."
Rose walked leisurely toward the bisected castle with its remaining lower half, a cryptic smile playing on his face.
"It seems something unexpected has occurred."
...
...
"Where are those two treasures they've used to deceive people for 3,000 years? Tch, if only I had a Psychic-type Pokémon, I could easily get the answer using hypnosis."
After ordering Zacian to slice open the castle, Sun Wuming finally remembered their main objective here, and awkwardly rubbed his temples.
He'd gotten carried away and forgotten their target.
Hopefully it hadn't been thrown away with the upper half of the castle.
"You'll regret this! The Galar League won't let you get away with this!"
Swordward struggled to prop himself up against the half-destroyed wall, clutching his wounds as he roared.
"Will you shut up?"
Sun Wuming raised an eyebrow, lifting his hand to reward him with an energy blast.
But before he could raise his head, another familiar voice rang out:
"Since when did the royal family speak for the Galar League?"
Everyone turned to look as Rose and Oleana climbed the stairs, walking toward them.
"Chairman Rose?!"
The Swordward and Shielbert duo called out with shining eyes, as if they'd seen their savior.
"You two..."
Oleana noticed Sun Wuming and Sonia's joined hands, her expression turning peculiar.
"Eek!?"
Sonia jumped, quickly withdrawing her hand and waving frantically, "Don't, don't misunderstand! We, we're not... there's nothing... nothing at all..."
"Chairman Rose, these two broke into our family castle, and—"
Shielbert, lying on the ground, pointed at Sun Wuming and shouted like a schoolchild reporting to a teacher.
Though they were called the "Galar Royal Family," they were really just living off their ancestors' reputation.
And as the president of Macro Cosmos, Rose was practically all-powerful in the Galar region.
These third-rate nobles were no match for him.
Well, even though their ancestral glory was all based on lies.
However, Rose, whom the duo saw as their savior, didn't even let them finish speaking before walking up to Sun Wuming with his usual smile and asking:
"Mr. Sun, might I ask what's going on here?"
Seeing Rose completely ignore them and instead politely engage Sun Wuming in conversation,
The Swordward and Shielbert duo were dumbfounded.
"I'm not good at being an interpreter, ask Sonia instead."
Sun Wuming turned to face the group of oddly-styled brothers, bent down and grabbed their collars:
"Where are they?"
"W-what things?"
Swordward asked painfully.
"The things you worthless lot have used to deceive people for 3,000 years."
Sun Wuming tightened his grip, "Don't make me ask a third time."
Rose narrowed his eyes slightly and said:
"Do as Mr. Sun says."
The Swordward and Shielbert duo widened their eyes in surprise again, and finally, gritting their teeth, they had no choice but to order a servant to bring the items.
About three minutes later.
A maid, trembling with fear, brought forth a rust-covered shield and an equally rusty sword with most of its blade broken off, leaving little more than a hilt.
"Are these... the legendary weapons used by the ancient Galar royal family to save the Galar region?"
Oleana muttered with furrowed brows.
It was because of these two pieces of evidence
That the people of Galar believed the ancient royal family were the heroes who saved them 3,000 years ago.
"Did you dig these up from a junkyard?"
Sun Wuming raised an eyebrow.
However, Zamazenta's excited voice rang out in his mind:
[That's them! Sister's Rusted Sword and my Rusted Shield!]
Sun Wuming wore an expression as if he'd seen a ghost.
Could it really be?
He took the rusty pair from the maid's hands.
Then Sun Wuming casually tossed them toward the Zacian and Zamazenta siblings.
The two legendary dogs raised their heads almost simultaneously, catching the rusty weapons in their mouths.
The moment the weapons touched their fangs,
A dazzling light enveloped the entire castle, as waves of brilliant blue energy burst forth and spread in all directions.
After about five seconds, the intense light gradually faded.
Looking ahead, Sun Wuming narrowed his eyes.
It was a complete transformation.
Literally.
The numerous scars that had covered the siblings' bodies had almost completely vanished, replaced by majestic armor.
The sword and shield that had looked like they came from a garbage heap transformed the instant Zacian and Zamazenta caught them in their mouths, becoming an imposing golden sword and a crimson-gold shield.
Feeling the powerful energy emanating from them, completely different from before,
Sun Wuming smiled quietly.
This was their true form.
"What... what's going on?"
Even Oleana, who had grown up in Galar hearing the 3,000-year-old legends, couldn't comprehend what was happening.
"It worked! It worked!"
Sonia was the first to recover, taking out her phone to snap photos of Zacian and Zamazenta who had truly become the Sword and Shield kings, while muttering:
"I knew it! I knew it! Zacian and Zamazenta were the true heroes who saved the Galar region 3,000 years ago!"
"The true heroes?"
Rose repeated these words, his eyes sweeping coldly over the Swordward and Shielbert duo before asking Sonia:
"Could you tell me more about this, Miss Sonia?"
