Chapter 112 — Let Hoopa Out

If they couldn't find Xerneas soon, Sun Wuming was planning to ask Hoopa for help.

The awkward thing was, while he remembered the general plot from the original story, he couldn't recall some specific details.

Like where Hoopa lived.

Fortunately, luck was on his side and they encountered it here.

There was no need to keep running around looking for Xerneas anymore.

BOOM!!

Just as Prison Bottle Hoopa was busy scooping, a sudden explosion made the million residents of Desert City jump in shock.

Countless people looked toward the source of the explosion.

In the depths of the desert in the distance, a giant mushroom cloud slowly rose up.

"That direction is... the Valley of Creation!"

Mealie slammed her hands on the table and shot up from her chair, her pretty face filled with terror.

"This aura is..."

Sun Wuming's eyes narrowed as a suspicion arose in his mind.

...

...

Rewinding to about fifteen minutes earlier.

When Lysandre led the Team Flare group through the valley path and saw the Arceus statues standing at the village entrance.

He could vaguely understand why this place was called the [Valley of Creation].

"Welcome to our home, respected visitors from afar."

A playful little girl wearing glasses saw these strangers and, with a face half curious and half joyful, came bouncing over saying:

"It's been so long since anyone visited our village."

The girl's comment wasn't surprising, considering Desert City, the most prosperous city in the Kalos region, was less than ten miles from the Valley of Creation.

Tourists naturally wouldn't have any interest in this small village nestled in the valley.

Seeing this, Pachira smiled and bent down to ask:

"Little sister, could you tell big sister..."

"Luca, come back!"

Before Pachira could finish her question, a young man wearing a red headband and crimson cape who had just walked out of a house called out in a stern voice, his face changing drastically.

The young man was named "Baruza," Mealie's brother and the person who had taken care of Prison Bottle Hoopa since childhood, growing up alongside it.

The reason Baruza appeared so panicked was because he saw Alan standing behind Lysandre.

Originally, like other villagers of the Valley of Creation, Baruza was very hospitable to outsiders.

When Alan visited last time, he had warmly welcomed him.

However, when Alan mentioned he had come for Hoopa, Baruza's expression instantly changed.

And now, the other party had returned, bringing so many people with them.

Even someone as simple as Baruza could guess their intentions.

Suddenly, Xerosic reached out his fat hand and grabbed the glasses-wearing little girl named "Luca."

"You guys! Let go of Luca!"

Baruza was shocked, and other villagers of the Valley of Creation also realized something was wrong.

They rushed forward, surrounding Team Flare.

Unfortunately, the opposing side had just as many people and faced them without fear.

The atmosphere grew increasingly tense, with battle seeming imminent.

"Is it really necessary to take a child hostage?"

Pachira frowned, her face full of displeasure.

"This is Team Flare's most important operation ever, don't get soft-hearted at this crucial moment, Pachira."

Xerosic said shamelessly, even appearing proud.

"Damn it! What do you want?!"

Baruza stepped forward, gritting his teeth.

Lysandre glanced at Xerosic who was holding the girl, his eyelids twitching, but he said nothing.

If it were before, he would have disdained such hostage-taking tactics.

But as Xerosic said, this was Team Flare's most important operation ever.

They couldn't afford any mistakes.

"You must be Baruza? Hoopa's guardian."

From Alan, Lysandre had already obtained enough information, and he said with narrowed eyes:

"You surely understand why I'm here."

Speaking, Lysandre raised his right hand in a "give it to me" gesture, and continued:

"Hand over Hoopa. I don't like seeing such a beautiful utopia tainted with filth."

He wasn't someone who liked solving problems with violence, well, at least that's what Lysandre thought of himself.

Baruza's face darkened - so it was about that after all?

Right now Hoopa had been taken to Desert City by Mealie, which was fortunate in this misfortune.

But...

Baruza turned slightly sideways, one hand pressing on a leather pouch hanging on the left side of his belt.

"Oh? Is it hidden there?"

Lysandre's pupils contracted as he commanded:

"Pyroar!"

Lysandre seemed to summon himself, calling out a male Pyroar with a hairstyle identical to his own to pounce on Baruza.

"Solrock!"

Baruza secretly gritted his teeth, throwing out a Poké Ball to call forth a Solrock.

However, unfortunately, the difference in their strength was too great.

Few people knew that Lysandre himself was also a Champion-level trainer.

Even against a Solrock with a type advantage, Pyroar easily knocked it down with a single Flamethrower.

Its huge claws swept toward Baruza, but with extremely precise control, it didn't tear him to shreds.

It only ripped apart his belt and retrieved the leather pouch, bringing it back to Lysandre.

However, when Lysandre opened the leather pouch, he found that inside wasn't the "Demon" he had imagined, but rather a strangely shaped bottle.

It had the same gray-pink dual colors as Hoopa's body.

"What is this?"

Lysandre asked puzzled.

As soon as he finished speaking, a dark energy emanating an extremely evil aura leaked from the bottle's seams, and a very angry voice could faintly be heard:

[Let Hoopa out... Let Hoopa out... LET HOOPA OUT!!!]

"Oh? Is Hoopa in here?"

Lysandre's eyes involuntarily blazed with intensity.

Speaking, he prepared to open the bottle.

"Stop! Don't open that bottle!"

Baruza shouted in panic.

He tried to rush forward to stop Lysandre but was firmly held back by several Team Flare executives.

"Lysandre, this aura is dangerous!"

Even Pachira, who had managed to capture Yveltal, now sensed something was wrong. Baruza's terrified reaction wasn't an act.

The evil energy contained in this aura seemed even greater than Yveltal's.

"Having come this far, how can we stop halfway?!"

Lysandre's eyes were filled with fanaticism as he unhesitatingly opened the bottle.

Almost instantly, endless purple darkness rose from the bottle, enveloping the entire Valley of Creation.

"You fool! Do you know what you've done!?"

Baruza's tone was full of anger, terror, and regret.

Regret that he hadn't been stronger, leading to this situation.

That bottle was called the Prison Bottle.

It was passed down to Baruza by his and Mealie's great-grandfather, the great trainer Guris who had sealed Hoopa's evil power one hundred years ago.

Indeed, sealed within the bottle was Hoopa's evil power.

Or rather, Hoopa's evil side.

At this moment, a huge six-armed Pokémon descended slowly from the dark energy in the sky above, like a demon from hell.

Anger, evil, ferocity, bloodthirst... every negative word in this world could be applied to this Pokémon.

Just standing before this Pokémon made Alan feel his legs trembling uncontrollably.

This truly deserved the title of [Djinn of the Rings]!

[You are that guy's descendant, aren't you?!]

Hoopa, no, Unbound Hoopa immediately locked its gaze on Baruza upon descending.

The "that guy" it referred to was naturally the bastard human who had sealed it in the bottle a hundred years ago - Guris.

That is, Baruza's great-grandfather.

Unbound Hoopa instantly sensed the same aura from Baruza as that old human.

In its rage, one of Unbound Hoopa's two large hands floating at its sides clenched into a fist, then opened.

Instantly, an island-sized dark energy ball appeared in its palm.

Even Champion-level Pachira was stunned, "Is that a Shadow Ball?!"

This size was practically a Gaia Cannon!

[Hoopa will kill you!]

As the murderous roar rang out, its large hand swung, sending the Shadow Ball large enough to cover the entire Valley of Creation falling like a meteor.

"Everyone run!!"

Baruza turned his head and shouted to the other Valley of Creation villagers.

However, by the time he shouted this, several villagers and Team Flare members who were closer to Unbound Hoopa had already been grazed by the super Shadow Ball.

The moment it touched them, they turned to dust in this world.

"Yveltal!!"

Pachira unhesitatingly released her trump card, which was also Team Flare's trump card.

The newly released Yveltal also looked dumbfounded.

Holy shit!

How is this guy who beat me up a hundred years ago here too?!

Yes, a hundred years ago Unbound Hoopa had summoned various legendaries to fight with it.

Some were powerful legendaries who fought evenly with Unbound Hoopa.

Others were second-rate legendaries who were beaten half to death.

And Yveltal belonged to the latter category.

Facing the already falling super Shadow Ball, Yveltal could only gather a spiral beam in front of its mouth and shoot it out as defense.

The purple and black energies collided in the center of the valley, with powerful energy spreading outward.

The valley walls were pulverized, reducing this place to flatland, and the shock waves continued spreading outward in rings.

[So it's you, you worthless thing!]

At this point, Unbound Hoopa also recognized Yveltal.

Isn't this the garbage I beat half to death a hundred years ago?

Fear flashed in Yveltal's eyes, seeming somewhat unable to meet Unbound Hoopa's gaze.

This scene left Xerosic and other Team Flare executives dumbfounded.

Was this a dream?

Yveltal, it, it was afraid!?

"Please calm down, Hoopa!"

At this point, Lysandre stepped forward and called out loudly:

"Do you remember me? The human who just released you!"

[Hmm?]

Unbound Hoopa's fierce eyes swept over, and after a few seconds of silence, it said harshly:

[Then Hoopa won't kill you! Get out of the way!]
