Chapter 40 – A Love That Cares
The months passed quickly, but for Gisele, each day was special. Since she announced her pregnancy, Ricardo spared no effort to take care of her. He was always attentive, anticipating her needs and making sure she felt loved and comfortable.
One morning, Gisele was in the living room leafing through a book about motherhood when Ricardo came in with a breakfast tray.
"Good morning, my queen," he said with a wide smile.
"You didn't have to," Gisele replied, but her smile betrayed happiness.
"I do it because I want to. You're carrying our baby. The least I can do is spoil you," Ricardo said, placing the tray in front of her.
On the tray were fresh fruit, whole-wheat bread, scrambled eggs and a natural juice. Everything was designed to ensure Gisele had the nutrients she needed.
"You're amazing, you know that?" she said, taking his hand and squeezing it.
"No more than you, Gi," he replied, leaning in to kiss her forehead.
One sunny Saturday, Ricardo insisted on taking Gisele shopping for baby items. They went to a children's store in Miami, where they spent hours choosing everything from a crib to adorable outfits.
"Look at this, Ricardo!" Gisele said, holding up a white onesie with tiny turtle details.
"Perfect! It suits us. Slow and resilient," he joked, laughing as he picked up the onesie.
"Are you calling me slow?" she asked, feigning indignation.
"Of course not, I'm just saying that the baby will be as strong and resilient, just like you," he replied, kissing her cheek.
At the end of the day, they left the store with several bags and a feeling that the reality of the baby's arrival was getting closer and closer.
As Gisele's belly grew, Ricardo increased his dedication. He began to insist on giving her foot massages every night.
"You're overdoing it," Gisele said one night as he carefully massaged her feet.
"Overdoing it? You're carrying a little warrior. I'll do it for both of you," he replied with a smile.
She sighed in relief as his fingers worked, releasing the pent-up tension.
"You really are the best, Ricardo," she said, closing her eyes.
"Don't flatter me too much. I still want more points to earn," he joked.
Gisele's pregnancy continued to be a subject of fascination for the media. Paparazzi often caught them on ordinary occasions, such as morning walks or trips to the beach.
One article read:
"Ricardo, Gisele's devoted companion, shows that it is possible to balance strength and affection while caring for your pregnant beloved."
Gisele laughed as she read the headline aloud to Ricardo.
"You're famous, you know?"
"Famous? I'm just doing my job as a boyfriend and future father. Let them make up whatever they want," he replied, shaking his head humorously.
One night, Ricardo surprised Gisele with a special dinner in his backyard. He set up an outdoor table, lit by candles, and decorated it with flowers that he knew she loved.
"What's the occasion?" Gisele asked as he led her to the table.
"The occasion is you. I just want to celebrate the fact that you exist and that you're giving me the greatest gift of my life," he replied, looking her in the eyes.
Gisele felt tears well up. "You really make me feel so special, Ricardo."
"Because you are special. Don't forget that," he said, holding her hand as they sat down.
They spent the evening talking about their dreams for the future, what they hoped for with the baby, and how excited they were about this new phase.
With each passing month, the bond between Gisele and Ricardo grew stronger. He was present at every doctor's appointment, holding her hand and asking the doctor questions.
"You're the most involved father I've ever seen," the obstetrician said at one point.
"I just want to make sure everything is perfect for her and the baby," Ricardo replied, looking tenderly at Gisele.
One afternoon, Gisele was lying on the couch while Ricardo read a book about fatherhood next to her.
"Are you ready for this?" she asked suddenly, interrupting his reading.
"Ready? I was born for this, Gi," he replied without hesitation.
"You make it all look so easy," she said, caressing his face.
"Because when it's about you and this baby, it's all worth it," he replied, leaning in to kiss her.
Gisele knew she couldn't be happier. She had a man by her side who not only loved her, but who also made her feel safe, cared for and respected.
And as the future approached with challenges and new experiences, she knew that together they could face anything.
Chapter 41 – Welcome to the World, Liam
The last few months have been intense, full of anticipation and preparation. The house was completely ready to welcome the new member of the family. Ricardo, anxious and attentive, had prepared every detail. The crib was set up, the clothes organized, and even a calm playlist of instrumental music was waiting for the baby.
On that sunny morning in June, Gisele went into labor. Ricardo was by her side, holding her hand as they took her to the hospital.
"Breathe, Gi. I'm here with you," he said calmly, trying to convey reassurance despite the tension he felt inside.
Hours later, the loud cry of a baby echoed through the delivery room. Ricardo had tears in his eyes as he looked at the little one wrapped in a white blanket.
"It's a boy, congratulations," said the doctor, handing the baby to Gisele.
"Hi, my love," Gisele whispered, moved, looking at the newborn's delicate face.
Ricardo leaned down, kissing her forehead and then stroking the baby's head. "You're perfect, little warrior."
"And now?" Gisele asked, smiling at him.
"We'll call him Liam Bundchen Alves now, as we agreed," Ricardo replied proudly.
A few hours later, Benjamin, Vivian and Jack arrived at the hospital to meet the new member of the family. As soon as they entered the room, Vivian ran to Gisele's bed.
"Can I hold him?" she asked, her eyes shining with curiosity.
"Of course, my love. Sit here next to me," Gisele replied, helping her daughter hold the baby carefully.
Benjamin was more reserved, but he couldn't hide his smile when he saw his little brother. "He's so little," he said, approaching with Jack.
"Little now, but he'll grow strong," Ricardo joked, ruffling Benjamin's hair.
Jack, in turn, leaned in to take a closer look. "He has both of your eyes. It's amazing."
Gisele smiled, her heart overflowing with joy at seeing her children already so connected with little Liam.
When they finally took Liam home, everything seemed magical. Ricardo carried the baby in his arms while Gisele watched with a smile. Vivian opened the door, excited, and Benjamin held the suitcase.
"Welcome!" said Jack, already preparing the camera to take a picture of the family together.
Ricardo looked around. The room was decorated with blue and white balloons, and there was a banner that said "Welcome, Liam!" hanging on the wall.
"Did you do this?" Gisele asked her children, excited.
"Yes! We wanted him to know how much he is already loved," replied Vivian.
The first few weeks were challenging, but full of love. Ricardo proved to be an extremely dedicated father, waking up during the night to change diapers and calm the baby.
"You're my hero," Gisele said one morning as he rocked Liam to sleep.
"I don't do anything you wouldn't do," he replied with a smile, looking at the baby's peaceful face.
The older siblings were also delighted. Vivian loved helping with bath time, while Benjamin was responsible for organizing the baby's clothes.
"He already has more clothes than me," Benjamin joked one day, drawing laughter from everyone.
A few weeks after his birth, Liam was taken for his first outing to the park. Ricardo pushed the stroller while Gisele walked beside him, holding Vivian's hand.
"It seems like a dream," Gisele said, looking at her family gathered together.
"Because it is," Ricardo replied, stopping to kiss her.
The news of Liam's birth quickly spread through the media, generating warm reactions from fans and friends of Gisele and Ricardo.
Renzo Gracie sent a message: "Congratulations, my brother. I can't wait to teach this little one some jiu-jitsu moves!"
Adriana Lima commented on one of the photos posted by Gisele: "He's beautiful! What a wonderful family you're creating!"
Even Henry Cavill sent Ricardo a message: "Congratulations, champion. Looks like you have a new student to train in the future."
One night, while Gisele was breastfeeding Liam, Ricardo sat next to her.
"Have you ever stopped to think about how our lives have changed?" she asked.
"Yes. Sometimes I still can't believe it. But if there's one thing I know, it's that I couldn't be happier," Ricardo replied, watching the two tenderly.
"You're everything I've ever wanted, Ricardo. I know I'm difficult sometimes, but you never give up on me," Gisele said, overcome with emotion.
"Because you're the love of my life. And now we have a fruit of that love," he replied, kissing her tenderly.
Liam quickly became the center of attention in the house. Every smile or sound he made was a reason for joy and celebration.
One night, while they were playing with the baby, Ricardo commented: "I think he's going to be a black belt like his father."
"Maybe he wants to be a model like his mother," Gisele joked, laughing.
"Or both," Vivian suggested.
Everyone laughed, but deep down they knew that no matter what Liam chose, he would be very loved.
At the end of another busy day, Gisele and Ricardo put Liam to sleep. As they watched the little one in his crib, Gisele rested her head on Ricardo's shoulder.
"Thank you for being everything I ever dreamed of, Ricardo," she said.
"Thank you, Gi. You are my world now," he replied, wrapping her in a hug.
The family was complete, and Gisele knew that the future would be even more incredible with Ricardo by her side. And so, the house filled with love and laughter marked the beginning of a new era for all of them.
Chapter 42 – Full-Time Love
Since Liam was born, Ricardo and Gisele's home became a true home of love and dedication. Every detail of the day revolved around the little baby, who, even at just a few weeks old, had already completely transformed the family dynamic. Ricardo, who always had a busy routine full of responsibilities, decided to take a break from his jiu-jitsu classes to be present at all times.
"It's just for a while," he explained to his closest students before temporarily leaving the academy under the supervision of other instructors. "My priority now is my family."
The days began to follow a new rhythm, with Gisele and Ricardo adjusting their routines to meet Liam's needs. In the morning, as the sun rose and illuminated the house, Ricardo was always in the kitchen, preparing a hearty breakfast for himself and Gisele.
"You need to eat well, Gi. She's breastfeeding and needs energy," he said, placing a bowl of fresh fruit and a natural juice in front of her.
"You spoil us too much," Gisele replied with a tired but grateful smile.
While Gisele took care of Liam's food, Ricardo was busy organizing the house and making sure everything was perfect for the day. The sound of laughter and small conversations filled the room, creating a light and happy atmosphere.
One of Ricardo's favorite activities was bathing Liam. He had infinite patience, always making the moment something special.
"Look, champ, here's the warm water," he said, his voice low and soft, as he held the baby carefully.
Gisele watched from the doorway, enchanted by the scene.
"You look like you were born to be a father," she commented, crossing her arms and smiling.
Ricardo laughed, never taking his eyes off Liam. "It's impossible not to love this. He's so little, but he already fills my heart with pride."
Although all the attention was focused on Liam, Gisele and Ricardo made sure to keep Benjamin, Vivian and Jack involved in everything.
One night, while Liam was sleeping in his crib, the three teenagers gathered in the living room with their parents to watch a movie.
"It's weird having a baby in the house after so long," Benjamin commented, looking at his little brother through the crib monitor.
"Yeah, but I like it. He's so cute," Vivian added with a smile.
"And now you have an excuse to learn how to take care of a baby," Ricardo joked, receiving laughter in response.
One afternoon, while Liam was taking a nap, Gisele and Ricardo sat in the garden to drink coffee. It was rare for them to have a moment alone, and they were both enjoying every second.
"Do you miss school?" Gisele asked, watching him from behind her cup.
"Sometimes. But to be honest, there's no place I'd rather be right now than here with you and Liam," he replied, holding her hand across the table.
Gisele smiled, feeling more connected to Ricardo than ever.
"I'm also experiencing something I never imagined," she admitted. "After everything I've been through, I thought my life would become more peaceful, but I never thought it could be so full."
Every day, Ricardo and Gisele discovered something new about Liam. The baby's first smile was cause for celebration, with Gisele rushing to grab her phone and capture the moment.
"He smiled at me!" Ricardo exclaimed excitedly.
"Maybe it was for me," Gisele joked, winking at him.
"Let's just say it was for both of us," Ricardo said, laughing, as he held Liam in his arms and rocked him gently.
The news that Ricardo had temporarily taken time off work to dedicate himself to his family resonated among friends and relatives. The Gracie family sent messages of support, and even Adriana Lima commented on a post by Gisele: "How lucky Liam is to have such dedicated parents. Enjoy every moment!"
"You know it's okay to want to come back when you're ready, right?" Gisele said one night, as they talked in bed.
"Yes, but for now I want to enjoy it. They grow up so fast, Gi. I want to be there for every moment," he replied, kissing her forehead.
As the days went by, the house began to adapt to little Liam's rhythm. Benjamin and Jack helped Ricardo organize the space, while Vivian loved decorating the baby's room with drawings she had made herself.
"Liam is going to be the most loved baby in the world," Vivian said, holding up one of her drawings to hang on the wall.
"He already is," replied Gisele, moved to see the dedication of her older children.
Despite the tiredness of sleepless nights, Ricardo and Gisele never stopped supporting each other. While he prepared bottles and took care of Liam's sleep, she made sure he also had moments of rest.
"You need to get some sleep, Ricardo. I'll stay with him now," Gisele said one night, gently pushing him into the bedroom.
"No way. We're a team," he replied, determined but with a smile.
One night, as they held Liam in their arms, Gisele commented: "Do you think he'll follow in your footsteps in jiu-jitsu?"
"Maybe," Ricardo replied thoughtfully. "But I want him to have the freedom to choose whatever he wants. As long as he's happy, I'll be by his side."
Gisele smiled, touching his face affectionately. "With parents like us, I think he'll have a great example."
Ricardo kissed her softly. "That's because he has the best mother in the world."
The break from work brought Gisele and Ricardo a unique opportunity to connect even more with little Liam and with themselves. Their love and dedication ensured that Liam would grow up in an environment filled with love, support and unity.
