Stranded

Chaos opened his eyes underwater.

'What??'

He was confused to say the least. A second ago, he had been watching the fight between Sic and his pet with a grim attitude. Chaos was right to assume Sic had no chance against a large monster.

He didn't think it would be so one sided though.

Chaos looked around. All he saw was the red water he was swimming in. Chaos didn't need to breathe, so he wasn't going to drown, but being in the water heavily restricted his movement.

He looked towards the surface of the water and began swimming. He was hoping the wolf had decided to go find some other food after seeing it's prey jump into the lake.

As he slowly made his way up, he noticed the sunlight here looked different than before.

'Thats... odd?'

When he finally emerged, his worst nightmares had come true. Instead of being inside the lake Sic has jumped into, Chaos was in the middle of an ocean.

Not just any ocean, however.

This one was special. Filled with all types of horrors that not even Chaos could fight.

This was the undying ocean.

An ocean that had inexplicably been devouring land for decades before he was sealed. It was the creation of Bios, the god of life, among other things. This monstrosity of an ocean was created as a punishment for Chaos himself.

He was not happy to be here again.

He looked around to see if he could find any land. But as far as he could see, there was none. Chaos was completely stranded.

Chaos wasn't completely stuck though. He could just use his abilities to find a way out of this horrible place. His abilities were quite simple, it was all related to his name.

As long as something created chaos, he could do it.

So, he did the most chaotic thing he could, and turned the water around him solid. Breaking the laws of the world were what got him into all this trouble in the first place, but he didn't think the gods would come here to reprimand him.

As he awkwardly pulled himself onto the solid part of the water, he brainstormed ways to escape this hellhole. His first idea was to simply find his old castle, but that probably wasn't a good idea. His old theory for what this place was had been completely invalid after Sic managed to leave without him.

It seems like she wasn't as stupid as Chaos had hoped.

Even with the chains protecting Sic, if he wasn't strong enough, Chaos could still pour his conscious into him and eventually take control of him. So, her solution seemed to be trapping him here until Sic was strong enough to handle Chaos himself.

He was starting to hate her even more than he had before. He couldn't help but applaud her foresight, however. She has read right through him.

Not that it was very hard to do so.

As Chaos was thinking, he felt the water around him rumble. It seemed like something had found him

With a sigh, he stood up and got ready. He already knew what he was going to have to do when he realized he was in this ocean, but he didn't expect it to be so soon.

He looked into the distance and saw it. A large shark fin was protruding out of the water. It was approaching him fast.

Before it could, however, Chaos activated his ability again. Using the nature of the already Chaotic abilities water had, he started to slowly make the water churn.

And that churning slowly turned into small waves, which then turned into bigger waves.

Until the entire area around Chaos was a massive storm of waves that were big and strong enough to even knock Chaos himself down.

And they would have, if he hadn't been the one who created them and by proxy could tell where they were going to hit.

The large monster that was closing in shot from inside one of the waves towards Chaos. It seemed like the monster wasn't expecting the ocean to be parted like it had, and missed the killing bite on him.

The monster itself looked exactly like a shark did.

It was quite boring compared to other monsters Chaos had fought, but he still did not underestimate it.

Underestimating his opponent would only get him killed, after all.

Dodging the bite, Chaos leaped back onto another wave. The shark tried to follow him, but was assaulted by the relentless waves that continued to slam into it. The amount of waves made it hard for the monster to swim towards Chaos. Smiling, he turned his hand into a sharp blade and plunged into the water. He technically couldn't control the chaos of the waves, but he could read them well enough to use them to propel him towards the monster.

Before it has any time to react, Chaos was already right behind it. The waves parted and left the monster stranded in the air or a second.

That was all Chaos needed.

Before it has even realized it wasn't it water anymore, Chaos had cut it directly in half, killing it.

Its body plunged back into the water as the waves slowly calmed down around him.

He sat down on the water and sighed. He hadn't fought in a couple decades, so finally being able to move around and fight was refreshing, but the thought of having to do this until he reached the nearest mass of land was going to be hell.

He looked off north and nodded his head. From what he remembered, his castle was the closest. If his theory was correct, however, he didn't want to go to his castle any time soon. His siblings castles were significantly farther away, but they were probably safer than this damned ocean and his own abode.

He was going to have to fight even more monsters, and he probably won't be able to kill them all this easily, but he was very confident in his ability to escape anything in the depths.

'I'll kill all the gods for this!'

Chaos was not looking forward to this journey whatsoever, but he didn't really have a choice. All he could do is curse the gods and make his way towards his goal.

His brother's castle

The Demon of Light's castle.
