"Teacher!"
Thinking this over, Xu Ming immediately changed his way of addressing Sarutobi Hiruzen.
"Good! Good! Good!"
Sarutobi Hiruzen was overjoyed. His face turned as red as a monkey's backside as he patted Xu Ming's shoulder firmly and said, "From now on, you are my fourth disciple, Xu Ming!"
"Come with me to meet your senior brothers and sister."
Without another word, Sarutobi Hiruzen dragged Xu Ming towards the Sarutobi Clan residence without any explanation.
More Than Ten Minutes Later – Sarutobi Clan Residence
Jiraiya and Tsunade sat at the dinner table, staring blankly as their teacher, who had left just a while ago, returned with a new face in tow.
"Honey, please bring another set of bowls and chopsticks."
Sarutobi Hiruzen pulled Xu Ming into a seat beside him and made the announcement.
"I have something important to tell you all—Xu Ming has now become my disciple. From now on, he will be your junior."
Tsunade and Jiraiya were stunned.
What just happened?
Teacher, you're the Hokage! Since when do you take in disciples on a whim?
Orochimaru, however, quickly regained his composure after the initial surprise.
"Welcome. Please guide me well."
Seeing Orochimaru's reaction, Jiraiya and Tsunade followed suit.
"Please guide me well."
Xu Ming smiled politely. "Likewise, senior brothers and sister. Please guide me well."
The feeling of being fellow apprentices with these three legendary figures was quite interesting.
Dinner Continues
With the sudden addition of a fourth disciple, the dinner conversation naturally centered around Xu Ming, especially the new technique he and Orochimaru had developed—the Rasengan.
"So it was inspired by the Tailed Beast Bomb..."
Xu Ming did not hold back and openly shared some of his development insights.
"I wondered, what would happen if chakra was materialized, compressed, and condensed? Out of curiosity, I experimented... and I didn't expect such incredible results."
To demonstrate, Xu Ming extended just a single finger. Instantly, chakra gathered at the tip, condensing into a bright blue Rasengan.
With a flick of his finger, the Rasengan shot towards the floor.
Puff! Puff!
The sturdy green bricks instantly turned to dust, leaving behind a cloud of fine debris.
"Amazing!"
"What an incredible technique!"
Tsunade and Jiraiya were enthusiastic spectators, clapping in admiration.
Sarutobi Hiruzen, however, analyzed the technique from a more practical standpoint.
"This is an ingenious technique. By manipulating chakra to its ultimate form, it creates a highly lethal and refined attack. What's even more terrifying is that it requires no hand seals. The enemy would suffer greatly in close combat."
But then, he sighed.
"Unfortunately, this technique demands immense chakra control. The difficulty is at least A-rank. I'd estimate that 90% of ninjas won't be able to master it."
As Hokage, Sarutobi Hiruzen always considered the broader picture. He wished for powerful yet widely accessible ninjutsu to enhance the overall strength of Konoha's shinobi. If a technique was too difficult to learn, its practical value diminished significantly.
Xu Ming, however, wasn't concerned. He knew there was at least one person in the room who was perfectly suited to learn Rasengan.
That person, of course, was Jiraiya.
"Xu Ming, can you teach me this technique? I'm very interested."
Before Xu Ming could respond, Jiraiya raised his hand, eyes filled with eagerness.
"Of course, I don't expect to learn it for free."
"If I come across something valuable in the future, I'd like to exchange it with you for this technique."
Jiraiya's tone was serious.
Xu Ming nodded. "Of course. Actually, I can teach you right now. We're brothers, so it's fine if you owe me one."
Jiraiya was touched but, after a moment's hesitation, shook his head.
"No, I don't have the ability to learn it yet. Let's wait until the time is right."
"That's fine. If you ever want to learn, just come find me or Orochimaru."
During this exchange, everyone else remained silent.
Even Sarutobi Hiruzen, as a teacher, could not demand that a disciple hand over their unique jutsu. In the ninja world, personal techniques were valuable secrets, and even hinting at wanting them was considered disrespectful.
"I don't need it. This technique doesn't suit my fighting style." Tsunade quickly declined.
As a Senju, her combat approach was overwhelming brute force. Rasengan didn't offer her any advantage over her immense physical strength.
Sarutobi Hiruzen smiled. "Alright, enough about jutsu. Let's continue eating."
The Next Morning – Sarutobi Clan Residence
Xu Ming's biological clock woke him at precisely five o'clock.
As he stepped out of his room, he was surprised to find that the Sarutobi residence was already bustling with activity. Servants moved about, and smoke billowed from the kitchen.
"You're up early, Xu Ming."
Third Hokage sat in the living room, eating breakfast. He looked up in mild surprise.
"Hehe, take a walk after breakfast if you like. I'm heading to work."
With a brief farewell, Sarutobi Hiruzen donned his Hokage robe and left the house.
Xu Ming stared at the sky outside in astonishment.
"Is being Hokage really this tough?"
"It's only five in the morning! The sun hasn't even risen yet, and he's already going to work?!"
It reminded him of the overworked corporate employees from his previous life.
"Forget it, I'm not Hokage. I'll just focus on eating and living comfortably."
He quickly adjusted his mindset and sat down in the living room, waiting for breakfast to be served.
As he ate, another unexpected person appeared.
Orochimaru, already awake, sat beside him and started eating as well.
"You're up this early too?" Xu Ming asked, surprised.
"I don't sleep much." Orochimaru replied calmly.
The two naturally began chatting, with the topic inevitably circling back to Rasengan.
It was understandable—Orochimaru was still caught up in the excitement of creating something new.
