Chapter 35: Devour Talent: Ego

"What an evil talent!" he thought grimly, recognizing its effect of boosting all stats by five times, making it an outrageous cheat.

"But I like it."

"As for the sacrifice, he wouldn't pretend to be a saint. If the condition applied, he would do it too," he decided, as Copy was his main talent. The ego talent was of no consequence to him.

"Devour," he replied to the world system.

[Ding…]

[Talent: Copy [Incomplete EX] processing devour of Talent: Ego S]

[Devouring process 10%... 50%... 100%]

[Devour process completed]

[Ding...]

[Talent: Copy [Incomplete EX] has gained consciousness]

As soon as the process was completed, Ego's voice vanished, and another inhuman voice echoed in his brain.

"Master, did you awaken me?"

"Yeah, and you are?" he asked suspiciously.

"Master, I'm your talent consciousness," the voice came, confirming his suspicion.

He exclaimed excitedly, "Oh! Now you can copy," but the voice disheartened his heart.

"Master, I need an appraising talent to help you distinguish different talents and determine if you should copy them or not. These are also the basic foundations of my talent."

"Alright," he grinned with sparkling eyes because he had already arranged for the other talent.

"Master, for now, I'll enter a dormant state to receive all knowledge related to this talent, and when the time comes, you'll know all the details," the talent replied before entering the dormant state.

"What?" he exclaimed at the surprising response, realizing that today was truly a lucky day.

"Thank God," he thought with a bright smile, relieved that he had already reserved a high-grade talent for Copy to replicate.

After these events, he decided to personally examine the results of his chaos training.

"Neo, transport me to Indrajit," he said patiently but with a hint of impatience as he still remembered that, in the morning, he had just used his time to name the skeleton.

[Accepted]

[Auxiliary function Link: Indrajit has been linked]

[Condition met]

[Transported to E-grade Ghost dungeon]

"Master, some skeletons' ranks have been upgraded," Indrajit humbly replied.

"Oh, that's nice," he replied with a smile.

"Okay, let's farm as much as we can," he instructed every skeleton and began battling monsters to test the results of his chaos training.

A mass massacre of monsters in the dungeon ensued.

"Rip, monster!"

....

Divya's Perspective

A villa, three to five times bigger than Rahul's, came into view.

"Divya, what's the matter?" a middle-aged man asked dotingly.

"Dad, I want to go to the dungeon," she replied with firm eyes.

Her father, Alok, questioned curiously, "Have you already upgraded your profession's skill?"

"Yes, Dad. That's why I want to go to the dungeon," she said, pouting as she recalled the scene with Rahul.

Her dad couldn't hide a smile, teasing her, "Is my princess eager for some competition?"

"Dad," she pouted, puffing her cheeks.

"Alright, alright, I understand. I'll make the arrangements, and your 'Federation Player' card will arrive in 30 minutes," her dad replied helplessly.

"Thanks, Dad, I'll get ready," she replied with a bright smile before heading to her training room.

As she disappeared from her father's sight, he murmured, "Shadow," and two people appeared out of thin air.

"You are responsible for her protection, and you must gather any information about her that I'm unaware of," he said coldly.

Both men vanished as if they had never existed.

"I have everything prepared," she said, placing her necessary belongings into a storage ring.

"Rahul, one day I'll defeat you," she murmured, determination sparking in her eyes.

But the moment passed, replaced by a blush as she recalled the embarrassing scene, and she shouted to herself, "Divya, what happened to you? Why are you blushing?"

As she was in her own world, a word pierced through and echoed in her ear.

"Divya, your 'Federation Player' card has arrived," her dad's voice reached her ears.

Amar's Perspective

"Amar, your 'Federation Player' card has arrived," a voice sounded in his ear.

"Dad, I'm coming," he replied excitedly.

"It took two days to arrive a 'Federation Player' card," he muttered as he descended to the first floor using the stairs.

Outside the Goblin Dungeon [E]

A queue of eager players had formed, patiently waiting for their turn to enter.

Among them, a group of six young men had gathered, and after a while, their moment came.

"Amar, let's go in," urged a 25-year-broad shoulder man.

"Absolutely, I'm right behind you," Amar replied with palpable excitement as they stepped into the Goblin Dungeon together.

They teleported to the first floor, fully aware of the potential dangers ahead.

"Stay vigilant, everyone," their leader commanded.

"Understood," the group replied, their focus honed on the surroundings.

"Goblins up ahead," Amar alerted the group.

"Alright, let's begin," the leader instructed, and each member swiftly assumed their designated positions.

"Amar, take the tank position."

"Mage, unleash your fire attacks."

"Healer, be ready to provide support."

"I'll engage in close combat, and you two back me up."

With their roles established, the group commenced their hunt against the goblins.

Meanwhile, a girl approached a middle-aged man near the dungeon entrance.

"But miss, it could be dangerous," the middle-aged man hesitated.

"Yes, it might be, but I can handle it," she asserted firmly.

"Miss, alright, but at least go with this player; he can assist you in critical situations," the middle-aged man suggested, indicating a peak E-rank player nearby.

"Fine," she reluctantly agreed, recognizing the middle-aged man's genuine concern for her safety.

Forming a group with guild players, the girl and her group entered the dungeon, while the middle-aged man watched from the sidelines, silently worrying about the consequences of any mishap.

"Let's wait for our opportunity," she advised, patiently awaiting their turn to enter.

After a few minutes, they finally entered the Goblin Dungeon and found themselves on the first floor.

"Stay on high alert, everyone," the girl cautioned as a horde of goblins closed in on them.

With resolute determination, the group assumed their positions and courageously engaged in battle against the goblins.
