Chapter 50: Young Championship

"Hello, everyone. We welcome you all to watch today's event, the 'Young Championship,'" a voice echoed across the field, followed by cheers.

"This event happens every five years and is led by all the influential families of Region X. The competition is also overseen by the Federation."

After the brief introduction, the speaker continued, "Sorry for the delay, but now let's proceed with the competition. Today's championship theme is 'Do or Die'—of course, 'die' doesn't mean death; it's just a saying."

The tense atmosphere lightened with a cheerful smile.

"Now, let me introduce everyone." The speaker gestured toward the person sitting in the judge's position.

"As you can see, he is our honorable and respected 'Regional Federation Head' and will act as the judge."

"On the right side, we have the honorable head of our regional school community, and on the left side, the honorable head of our regional security." After introducing the judges, the speaker directed the audience's attention to the influential families of Region X seated elsewhere on the field.

"These are the heads of the influential families of Region X," the voice continued in a sonorous tone. "They are well known for their contributions to the growth of our region. But since today is a grand event, let me introduce each one individually." The speaker pointed toward the Verma family head, causing a commotion in the audience.

"Oh! I heard they are the biggest contributors to security in Region X."

"Yeah, I also heard they donated a lot for the growth of Region X."

"What do you know? I heard a rumor that they're likely to win this competition."

"As expected of them."

"Okay, okay, enough. Since you guys know so much, I won't say much, but I'll just add one sentence."

Looking toward the head of the Verma family, he continued, "You guys might not know, but all the expenses of this competition are covered by the Verma family head."

With this announcement, the commotion spread even further, as more fuel was added to the fire.

"As expected, they sure are charitable."

But all the influential members knew everything, so they just watched calmly. However, only one thought lingered in their minds: "ass licker."

Seeing the commotion, the speaker coughed to hide his embarrassment. "Okay, guys, now let's move on to the Kumar family."

"Oh! I heard they're no less than the Verma family."

"Yeah, Ishu Kumar also has a chance to win."

"Wow! He is so handsome."

Like this, the introductions continued and soon ended.

In the competition lobby area, the speaker added, "Okay, now let's get to the main topic."

He continued, looking toward the participants who were sitting close to each other. "They are the participants of this competition."

"I know that everyone knows them, but still, I'll introduce them one time," he said, glancing helplessly toward the audience. "But please, no commotion this time."

"Okay!!!!"

The speaker introduced, "Today, the competition will be held in two phases."

"As for the details, I won't explain," he added with a grin. "You guys have to guess, and the winner will have the chance to get a photoshoot with the winners along with a secret reward."

"Hurray! I will surely win," a loud voice resounded in the audience.

"Okay, okay, calm down," the speaker said, gazing toward the staff. "Please distribute paper and pens."

Soon, the process started.

"You guys have five minutes to write your thoughts along with answers."

Five minutes later...

"Please take the paper," the speaker said to the staff.

The process ended.

"Okay, guys. Now we are proceeding toward the competition."

"In the first phase, the heirs of these ten influential families will join: Aakash, Ajay, Rakesh, Harsh, Geeta, Lakshmi, Shankar, Ravi, Ramesh, and Pallavi."

"I request these participants to come to the stage."

With that, all ten participants soon entered the competition lobby, and again, whispers started in the audience.

The speaker himself reached his spot, which happened to be a tower constructed just outside the competition lobby.

The audience perked up, anticipating something exciting. "The first stage of Phase 1 will be called 'Lucky Run,'" announced the speaker.

Suddenly, a regretful voice resounded, "No! I lost my chance to meet my idol."

"My bad for letting you miss the chance to meet your idols," the speaker grinned mischievously.

"Anyway, you guys still have a chance to meet your idol as long as you have the highest chance of being correct," the speaker added, with a teasing look in his eyes, knowing that even if given the chance, they wouldn't succeed. "Alas, I don't know who arranged the competition like this," he thought, gazing toward the audience. "Pitiful, you wouldn't even guess one right answer."

"Oh! There's still a chance to win."

"Yeah, I can still win."

"Okay, let's move on to the competition."

"The circumference of this competition lobby is 2,000 meters, and the Lucky Run is related to this," the speaker explained, looking toward the staff. "Please bring those items," he instructed, and soon, the staff brought over a glass jar filled with ten folded papers.

"You guys may have already noticed but let me explain it to you in detail."

"There are ten folded papers in the glass jar, which are already visible to everyone's eyes."

"Every participant has to withdraw one folded paper from the glass jar."

"But the interesting part is that there will be a single digit in that folded paper from 0 to 9, which corresponds to each participant."

.....

"I have to say, sir, you sure have put in your efforts," the head of the Verma family said calmly to the Federation's head. Meanwhile, all the family heads glanced at each other, nodding.

The Regional Federation Head smiled, and the trio also glanced at each other with a knowing smile, thinking, "The interesting part is still coming."

"OH! If you say so, then I'm excited," and the head of the other family nodded as well.

"Let's enjoy the federation's handiwork."

"It's my pleasure."
