CHAPTER 5: THE ACCUSATION

Asher sat in class, his eyes fixed on the system window that had appeared in front of him. He was now level 12, and the system had granted him access to the shop.

Asher's eyes widened as he browsed through the shop's offerings. He could buy anything from potions to equipment, and even skills. He purchased a few items, including a system inventory that would allow him to store items in a dimensional space created by the system.

The system inventory was a game-changer for Asher. He could now store all his items in one place, without having to worry about carrying them around. He felt a sense of excitement and freedom, knowing that he had this new tool at his disposal.

As he continued to browse, Asher overheard a conversation between two students. They were talking about Emily, Stephen's ex-girlfriend. Apparently, she had broken up with Stephen, and the rumor was that it was because of Asher.

Asher felt a pang of guilt, but he quickly pushed it aside. Stephen had tried to kill him, after all. He couldn't care less about Stephen's relationships.

As he gazed out the window, lost in thought, Asher overheard another conversation. This time, it was a group of students talking about him. "They said it was Asher who did it," one of them said.

Asher's ears perked up, but he didn't care. He assumed they were talking about the rumor that he had broken up Stephen and Emily.

When the break bell rang, Asher stood up and walked out of the classroom. As he walked down the hallway, he noticed that everyone was staring at him. He wondered why, but he didn't think much of it.

Suddenly, he heard a commotion. A group of students were staring at something, their eyes wide with excitement. Asher followed their gaze and saw three people approaching.

They were two guys and a girl, all dressed in the school's uniform. Asher didn't recognize them, but he could tell they were important. They walked with confidence and authority, and the students around them parted to let them through.

As they approached, Asher noticed that the students around him were scattering. The three newcomers stopped in front of Asher, blocking his path.

"Can I help you?" Asher asked, feeling a sense of unease.

One of the guys smiled, but it wasn't a friendly smile. "We heard about what you did, and we're here to punish you."

Asher's eyes narrowed. "What are you talking about?"

The girl spoke up, her voice cold. "Don't play dumb, Asher. We know all about it."

Asher's confusion turned to annoyance. "Look, I don't know what you're talking about. Why do I have to be punished because Emily left Stephen?"

The guy who had spoken earlier sneered. "You want to act like you don't know what you did? That's rich, coming from you."

Asher's anger flared up. "What do you mean? Just tell me what's going on."

The other guy spoke up, his voice dripping with malice. "We heard you set up cameras in the ladies' toilet and changing room. That's a serious offense, Asher."

Asher's eyes widened in shock. "What? That's not true! I didn't do that!"

The three newcomers exchanged skeptical glances. "Save it, Asher," the girl said. "We have evidence. You're going to pay for what you did."

Asher's mind was reeling. Who could have set up those cameras? And why were they framing him for it? He knew he had to clear his name, but how?

The three newcomers took a step closer to Asher, their eyes blazing with anger. Asher stood his ground, his heart pounding in his chest. He knew he was innocent, but he also knew that he had to prove it.

"I didn't do it," Asher repeated, his voice firm. "I don't know who set up those cameras, but it wasn't me."

The three newcomers sneered at him, but Asher could see a flicker of doubt in their eyes. They weren't entirely convinced of his guilt, and Asher knew that he had to capitalize on that doubt.

"I demand to see the evidence," Asher said, his voice firm. "I want to know who accused me and what proof they have."

The three newcomers exchanged glances, and for a moment, Asher thought he saw a glimmer of uncertainty. But then, their faces hardened, and they turned to leave.

"This isn't over, Asher," one of them said, their voice dripping with malice. "We'll be watching you."

Asher watched them go, his mind racing with questions. Who had set up those cameras? And why, I will get that person, and make the person pay Asher thought.
