Last Fight(4)

Daniel is shooting at those people who are trying to get upstairs. There are two Lurkers shooting at him, but Daniel can't ask for help. Lucas is busy in a different room shooting outside to make sure no one gets closer.

Lucas is trying his best to have both gangs avoid their building. This will make Daniel's work much easier, and reduce his work. Lucas and Daniel only have limited ammunition, and the Lurkers don't seem to be slowing down. They just have to survive for a bit longer. Daniel is shooting at them, but he would be better of if he didn't

He hasn't killed anyone since they got upstairs, and he doesn't think that's great. Daniel has began to run out of bullets while Lucas still had a decent amount. Daniel's gun then only makes clicking noises, he ran out of bullets but he can't reload in time.

"Shit!" Daniel says as he hears some footsteps approaching the staircase. He stands up and begins to run, and as he does, bullets are send his way. He saw two men, and they seemed to be Lurkers.

"Lucas two are coming up the stairs, and I'm out of bullets!" Daniel yells out and Lucas turns around, he points at the stairs as Daniel ducks. The head of one of them pops up, and Lucas immediately shoots killing them. He shot him straight on the center of his head causing his left eye to pop out before falling backwards.

"Fuck!" The other Lurkers yells out as he forces himself to stop mid run. It's too late as Lucas then shots him in the face, he too falls down the stairs. Daniel looks up, and takes deep breaths, he doesn't know if there are more or not.

Lucas can't believe it, he actually killed two more people. He can't believe he just took their life's just like that, he didn't hesitate. Unlike with Robert these kills felt natural…Wait! Not it didn't, it felt very off.

Daniel looks at Lucas. "Hey listen man, it's alright if you feel bad." Daniel gets closer to Lucas, but Lucas puts his hand up to him. Lucas takes a deep breath, and he smiles at Daniel.

"Don't worry I understand already, they wanted to kill you and me. This was all self defense, I knew what I was getting myself into." Lcuas says as he reloads his rifle, he is nervous by a bit.

Lucas begins to take a few shallow breaths, he then sits down, and finishes reloading his rifle. Lucas looks up at Daniel, and then back to the floor. "I'm fine Daniel, I'll take me time to get used to killing others. I'll be back on my feet in a few minutes so don't worry about me." Lucas says.

"You're a strong person Lucas, thank you for trying your best. You saved my life, and I owe you one." Daniel says as he checks the two last magazines he has.

"It seems that we might not stay here for much longer anyways Lucas. We have to go downstairs, and clear up the place. It would be terrible if they ambush us in a place we couldn't escape from." Daniel says, they also have to go and find those two as well.

"I agree with you Daniel, I have noticed more cracks, and holes up here. That might be obvious in a gun fight, but compared to the first floor…I do believe that it's apparent that people would shoot at the second floor. In theory it's the safest place, and that means more people will be there." Lucas says as he stands up, and begins to walk to the stairs.

"The ammunition I have left is almost half than when we first came here. I was being stupid, but now I won't waste them scaring away the enemies. I used that excuse so that I could avoid killing other, but that was dumb. I'm sorry that I was being selfish, but if Ashly saw me, she would be mad at me." Lucas says as they both slowly begin to walk down stairs.

"It's alright Lucas we have to be careful now, you should be proud. You still value life itself this much that your uncomfortable killing." Daniel says as he grabs the gun of a Lurker just in case.

"I'm a bad person because I grew dull to murder. I didn't care who I killed, and thats bad. The only different between me and a criminals is that I don't target civilians, and they do, that's very bad man." Daniel says as they slow down, and point their guns to entrances.

They are waiting for the return of Amir and Ashly, and they don't plan to die soon. "It's clear." Daniel whispers as they walks around the area, they then hear footsteps. They turn their guns to that area, but they also hear something being dragged.

"It's alright even if I don't see those two." It's the voice of Amir, and Daniel waste no time running to where they heard him. Lucas runs behind him, and they see Amir dragging Ashly. Lucas heart drops, and he runs and gets on his knees. He sighs in relief when he can still hear her breathing, but that nearly made him pass out.

Amir is tired. "I was afraid that we were going to get spotted and killed. I dragged her all the way from that other building defenseless, and I was scared." Amir says.

Lucas then looks up at Amir with scared eyes. "What happened to Ashly, and why did you two disappear without a word?" He asks in a worried tone.

"Listen it all happened so quickly, I got ambushed by some Lurkers. I had to run before they could kill me, I did notice Ashly running after us. They cornered me and I killed as many as possible, but they overwhelmed me." Amir says as he sits down rubbing his eyes.

"Ashly, she had to come, and save my life even if they didn't look like they wanted to kill me. I believe that the reason was because they wanted to torture me, but Ashly stopped that. I'm sorry Lucas, but we got shot at immediately afterwards, she saved me twice today."

"She pushes me out of the way, and she took a nasty hit. She started bleeding, and I made a bandage to add pressure to her injury. That will save us some time, but she needs to get help soon as she passed out." Amir says, and he is deeply regretful for not being much help.

"It's all right Amir, you don't have to say anything now. I can understand the position you were in, and that's why I'm not angry at you. You brought her back here to safety when you could of abandoned her. She will be mostly fine, but a hospital is needed." Lucas says as he holds Ashly's unconscious body.

Daniel watches as Lucas seems to be holding back some emotions. "Listen Lucas, me and Amir will be shooting at the enemies. If it makes it any better you can just focus on Ashly, and protect her. Make sure she lives, and show her you can protect her. " Daniel says.

"Amir come on, don't feel bad about this alright? We have to continue fighting, she saved you so don't waste that opportunity. She risked her life for you so don't you dare cry about it, try to repay it back." Daniel says to Amir, and Amir smiles a bit before he gets up.

"Yeah you're right Daniel, I don't know what I'm thinking all of the sudden. Her sacrifice won't be in vein, well she is still alive of course. Let me do everything to protect her and Lucas." Amir says as they reload their guns.

"This isn't the first time I was in a situation like this, I'll do my best." Lucas says as he stares at her face, she looks relaxed all of the sudden. He need to stay focus on her safety above his own, probably more than the others but not by much

Lucas then lifts Ashly's shirt to check up on her injuries. "Sorry." Lucas whispers as he did, he needs to find a way to give her more time. Lucas then remembers that he still had some bandages on him, he will tighten it on her injuries.

He takes the bandages out, and he is going to slow down her bleeding more. He lifts her up slightly, and unwraps the shirt, she begins to bleed fast. Lucas quickly wraps the bandages on her, and tightens it before she bleeeds more. Lucas sighs as that was scary for him, she is defenseless, but she won't die any time soon.

Lucas can hear Amir, and Daniel shooting out the windows. Lucas then tears up a bit as he looks at Ashly. "Everything is alright Ashly, we are all fine." Lucas says as he wipes the tear off his face.

Azalea has finished killing another small groups of Lurkers. It's already starting to feel exhausting by how many of them there are. Wait that's strange? He notices how one of them is wearing the same clothes as that one Zoryem. The one who turned himself in to them over a month ago.

"Ha I knew that they were going to take part of this, finally I was right. I am going to enjoy killing these assholes for trying to trick the government." Azalea says as he gets down to the dead Zoryem, he has a gun with him.

"I can't believe that they did all of this work within a month to gain immunity. Just for them to throw it out the window immediately the day after they were approved." Azalea says as he sort of gives a weird laugh.

Maybe they were planning to ambush them, and kill them there. No wonder that man was so calm, he was confident that they could kill them. Azalea then realizes that they must be nearby, and the SDA are definitely in danger.

Azalea can't waste time, and so he runs inside another building. He shots one of them dead, and the other one turns to him. Azalea gets on the ground, and lifts the body of the man he killed to use as a shield. The other one shots at him, but the dead man tanks the bullets for him, he kills then other guy.

Azalea drops the body, and he runs upstairs pointing his gun around. There is nobody here, he then runs downstairs, and he spots a Zoryem looking at him. Azalea shots him before he could tell the others who could be nearby.

Azalea then looks outside the window from an angle were he can't be spotted. He can see many Zoryem hiding within the snow, but he won't handle that. He believes that Rose could kill all of them himself.

He runs but he is spotted by Amir, and they both shot at each other. Azalea dodged it, but he doesn't now if he killed that criminal. He gets up and he is going to check, but then he is shot on his abdomen. He turns to see a Lurker there, and he shots at the criminal before he could shot him again.

He lost focus for one second, and he got injured, he is stupid. Luckily that injury is nothing to him, and he stands back up, he walks passed the Body of a Zoryem.

He is pissed off a low scum like that Zoreym managed to actually shot him. Azalea also notices that some of these criminals are running around without care. He has to leave as they are definitely going to go here as they must be near.

He isn't going to let them rattle him out anytime soon. He has to have them believe that they are unaware of their presence. He has to leave them surprised, and overconfident about their abilities to kill him.
