Chapter 5

We arrive at the hospital and I wake Eugene up and tell him "we're here." I park the Impala and get out and close my door. I open the back door and help Eugene to his feet wrapping his arm around my neck so he can somewhat walk. He grabbed his Starry and we walked to the Emergency Room to get him checked up. I give him the form. I ask him if he wants me to stay. He says "no, go home you have done enough for me. Thank you for saving me." I tell him the old cliche "that is what friends are for." He smile and says "go get some sleep." I put the Starry next to him at his feet. I leave the hospital and head home in the Impala as I'm driving I couldn't help but think I hope the blood from the wendigo didn't get on him because if it did it would seep into his pores and slowly drive him mad but never turning him into a monster just a homicidal mental patient. I worry slightly that could be something that happened when I shot the wendigo. I try not to think about it but it keeps bugging me all the way home constantly like a bug flying around me really loudly. I finally reach home and I park my car in the drive way with my hands on the steering wheel. I lay head down on the leathery wheel and can't seem to get the thought out of my head and I sigh before realizing if it happened I can't fix it. I know that I as a werewolf can't get infected by the blood thankfully. I get out of the car and head inside the house and lock the door. I go and get my pressure washer to wash my clothes because if I wash them in the dryer the blood from the wendigo would get in the city water system infecting the whole town. I take my pressure washer to the fenced in back yard and strip down to my boxers and I spray down my shirt and pants that I laid down on the pavement of my patio right outside of my back door. Once I finished cleaning them I brought them inside and put them in the dryer and cut it on. I went back to the back door and locked it. I then went to my room to grab clothes for a shower. Once I was in the shower I began to feel the falling on me washing away the blood. The water began to make me remember the night I was turned into a werewolf. I began to cry as I feel like I'm nothing but a monster.
