I proposed to Aria eighteen times.
She agreed every time, but after I gave her eighteen dowries, she still used all sorts of reasons to delay the wedding date.
"Caelan is taking his driver's test soon, I don't want to distract him."
"Caelan's cat at home is sick, wouldn't getting married now just add to his troubles?"
"Caelan's been in a good mood lately, let's wait a bit. It's rare for him to be happy!"

Eighteen Marriage Proposals Later, I Give Up on Marriage

Excluding Aria as an option, Cora indeed appears to be the best choice compared to the scheming women around me.


Without hesitation, Cora agreed to a prenuptial agreement with me. She also made it clear that her reason for marrying me was due to the difficulties single women face in the business world. With the added status of being my darling, she would have access to many more resources. However, she emphasized that she would strive for all these resources on her own, never requiring my assistance.


And so, three days later, Cora and I had prepared everything for our wedding and walked into the chapel.


Our marriage was extensively covered by all major business newspapers. There were even rumors that I had prepared a rare and priceless "pigeon egg" diamond to present to Cora during the wedding.


The pigeon egg diamond was, of course, just a baseless rumor. However, out of a sense of guilt, I had prepared an eight-million-dollar wedding gift for Cora before the ceremony.
