"Yes, I promise not to fight against you. Please suck my blood and grant me power!"
With his mind made up, Wu He showed no hesitation to make a deal with an unknown vampire, 'For revenge and to survive in the dog-eat-dog world, I need power to survive! I will make sure that B#tch pays with her life. In this life, I, Wu He, am destined to rise!'
Hearing his response, Alvin smirked in response. He was simply shooting a shot in the dark, pinning his hopes on the desire for power oozing out of his eyes.
To his surprise, it worked!
Alvin never knew the taste of manipulation was so good.
'I might get addicted to this.' Alvin sighed in his heart. He knew that his act only worked because the boy before him was a weeb and an idiot on top of that. But without help from Elara, he might not have acted so calmly and ripped the boy to shreds with his teeth; she was easing his heart with her powers, and he also had been using his pain to suppress the emotions in his heart.
Once the pain of hunger elevated and his heart calmed down, he had no idea what he might do.
Thinking of her, he could not help but look at the woman.
But when he saw her hands clenched and shoulders trembling, Alvin sensed her emotions through their link, 'Even Elara is barely herself from laughing at him. But…' Narrowing his eyes, he wondered, 'Why is she a bit embarrassed and angry? Oh well, thank God I am leaving this country after today.'
"Good! Offer me your arm, human! I have already made a cut for you." Wu He lost himself in his thoughts about the domination of the world and raised his arms unconsciously.
"Argh!" barely able to hold himself back, Alvin held on his wrist so tightly that the boy yelped in pain but the pain only grew when Alvin bit on his wrist as if he was taking a bite of an apple.
The process came naturally to him as if walking.
But even then, kids make mistakes on their first try; Alvin was no different.
In his haste, he missed the artery and struck the bone instead. A growl escaped his mouth when he pulled back, and tears escaped the boy's eyes. He looked like he had been wronged when Alvin bit back, this time at the right spot.
Wu He knew he could have or show no negative emotions towards Alvin, as he was the source of his upcoming powers, and he 'knew' vampires had emotion-sensing powers.
So all he could do was bear it in silence and let Alvin do anything he wanted to do with him.
Alvin groaned in pleasure internally when the fresh splash of water hit his lips. The cold gush of blood poured down his throat, and he drank it in mouthfuls like a person who had been thirsty for days, if not months.
And his hunger made him suck harder on the blood. Alvin trembled a bit as he felt the blood washing away the rising heat and pain in his body.
While he greedily sucked on Wu He's wrist, Alvin found himself losing to the feeling of ecstasy.
'Is he getting high on blood?' Elara narrowed her eyes, sensing his slipping emotions. 'Tell me you are better than this, Alvin.'
'This damned vampire, I vow I will kill him one day! I only promised not to attack him, but I did not say anything about killing him!' Wu His eyes went bloodshot, feeling the pain for the first time in his life. 'I have to endure this pain for power!'
Wu He kept squirming in pain, but Alvin was lost in euphoria. But just as he found himself lost in this wonderful feeling, the taste of the blood became suddenly sour.
It was like he bit on something sour in the middle of eating a sweet dish. This gave him a moment of clarity, enough for him to realize what he was doing.
Alvin's eyes snapped open; he saw the young man he had been latching on to was on the verge of collapsing and scowled inwardly.
Elara smiled when she saw Alvin taking hold of himself on his own and backing away, showing self-restraint. But the next moment, her body shook. She was startled when a wave of self-loathing and disgust washed over her.
These emotions were foreign yet very familiar to her as if they were her own, but she looked at Alvin in panic and worry.
Under Vanessa's confused eyes, she moved closer to him, pressing on his shoulder firmly.
Feeling the strong supportive feelings coming from Elara, Alvin looked over his shoulder and flashed a reassuring smile, but the woman did not seem convinced.
She only felt relief when she sensed those raw emotions fading away.
'I cannot let these things happen to me of all people. I should know better than this.' Alvin thought to himself, his fist tightening, turning his knuckle white.
Alvin slowly stood up with his eyes closed; the bones in his body cracked as he moved. He looked down at the boy who had fallen unconscious in the middle of his self-indulgence.
Seeing this a pang of regret flashed through his heat before it washed away.
Now that the process was complete, the pain from hunger was gone.
Which meant that there was nothing but Elara stopping his emotions from going out of control.
Elara sensed Alvin's emotions flickering like the last ember of burning wood, ready to attach to anything to keep burning.
Alvin felt the changes in his body, but he had no time or mood to pay attention to them. He realized that he had completed the transformation and all senses, and he was now a vampire who was bound by no mortal concept anymore.
He was immortal and could live for eternity.
But the people he held dear were dead!
'It's happening before I expected.' Elara was startled by the sudden rise in his emotions and looked at Vanessa in panic. "Quick, take us back to the place we came from."
