Baby

Ever since Georgio decided to attack Val, Tritan knew that his presence would no longer be accepted in Val's pack. But he's still coming regardless. He barged into the pack's headquarters, only to be stopped by Zen, who stared at him grimly.

"Alpha wants to see you."

Tritan nodded. Val knew his secret. Therefore, from the beginning, Tritan knew that Val would not refuse his arrival.

"Follow me."

Under the angry gazes of the werewolves who hated the vampire race who first sought trouble with them, Tritan entered the room where Val had been treated. Val was leaning on a bed supported by pillows. When he saw Tritan, his gaze was complicated, but he still tried to greet him by nodding slowly.

Tritan did the same. He was then asked to sit on one of the benches provided, where the core members of the pack were also there to watch Tritan's every move.

"How are you?"

"I'm fine."

Tritan nodded, although he noticed that Val looked paler than usual. He didn't want to make small talk any further. When they were meeting, no one knew what Elyna and Eir, who had disappeared that day, were going through.

"We have managed to find the hunters' base. However, to attack them, we might need your help. Honestly. At this time, we don't have enough power to handle them."

Vampires are powerful creatures, but they have one fatal weakness. Their strength all depends on their king. The weakness of their king means the weakness of the entire vampire race.

At this time, Georgio was forcibly put to sleep after being found near death in his castle. His deteriorating condition managed to remove his absolute command on Tritan. Therefore, on the day Georgio began his long sleep, Tritan awoke to take his place.

"So, Val, will you help us?"

"Of course."

Val still tried to keep his trust in Tritan. However, his pack members seemed unable to share the same thoughts.

"Wait a minute. How can we trust you? Georgio, that vampire is the reason why all this chaos happened."

Zen lost his sister and also had to watch his brother on the verge of death for the past few days. His hostile reaction towards Tritan was normal.

"For that, I offer you my sincere apology. I couldn't do anything at that time because of absolute orders. But of course, that alone won't erase the fact that we are indeed responsible for the disappearance of Elyna and one of the werewolves in this pack."

"I promise I will take responsibility for everything. That's all I can do as a representative of the vampire race."

Zen wanted to get even angrier, but he didn't expect the vampire race, who was known to be arrogant, to be willing to bow and apologize to them. Zen was silent because he was at a loss for words. Val let out a long sigh. Although he was also worried about Elyna and Eir's condition, he knew that blaming Tritan was not the right choice.

Especially when the man had chosen the most difficult path for Elyna's happiness.

"Our priority right now is to save Elyna and Eir. That's why I want you to trust her."

Val heard the disapproving growls from her pack members. But after a while, they finally knelt before her.

"Your wish is my command."

"I want to die."

Elyna blankly said when she finally got some time alone. A cold metal pierced through her hands and legs, but she was not in the mood to feel cold or painful.

"I miss everybody."

Elyna helplessly lowered her head and watched her body grow thinner. From some point on, she kept dreaming of everybody. Elyna dreamed of a time when they were all together. No needles or scalpels. Val would listen to her tell stories about her days at school while Tritan would stroke her head every time she smiled at him.

Everything looked so beautiful. But every time she opened her eyes, the white room that witnessed her experiment would bring her back to reality. There was no more Val or Tritan. There was only a man who would constantly draw her blood or film her as he slowly imposed various types of gruesome experiments on her.

Elyna wanted to give up, but the hunter threatened to kill Eir if she didn't cooperate. So, she was forced to endure. Even though everything felt so painful and difficult, Elyna continued to endure because she believed it was her duty as a Luna to protect her pack members.

CLACK!

Elyna's body stiffened when she heard someone open the metal door. She started to tremble. Since living in that all-white room, Elyna knew that only one person could enter that place.

"How are you today? Do you feel dizzy? Nauseous?"

The hunter entered with a bright face, and it made Elyna couldn't help but feel suspicious. Elyna had indeed felt nauseous and wanted to vomit several times lately. But she had no intention of telling the hunter at any time.

"Don't want to answer?"

Elyna bit her lip secretly when she heard the threat. Of course, the man would do something to Eir if Elyna made him angry.

"I'm... fine."

The hunter took a deep breath. He used his hand to grab Elyna's hair and forced her to look up. The smile on his face disappeared. Elyna knew. She had made the man suspicious of her.

Elyna tried her best to look okay. Even if she wanted to vomit because the hunter forced her to look up suddenly, she remained silent so that the hunter wouldn't know that she had just lied.

"No. The device can't be wrong. You're pregnant, I know that."

"Pregnant?"

Elyna's mind fell into a bottomless pit when she heard the hunter's words. Getting pregnant when she was trapped in the hands of the enemy was the last thing she wanted. Elyna's heart was beating fast. Although it was normal to get pregnant after going through the heat with her mate, Elyna didn't think she would get pregnant when she did it with two men of different races at close range.

"You didn't know?"

The hunter saw the surprise on Elyna's face and immediately let go of his grip on Elyna's hair. The hunter smiled. Since he became a hunter, it was the first time he had found something rarer from Elyna.

"This is amazing. I was originally just curious about how you, who looked like an ordinary half-werewolf, could suddenly have characteristics like a vampire. But when investigating you, who knew I would find out that you were pregnant with twins from two different races?"

The hunter reached out his hand to touch Elyna's stomach. Alarm bells rang in Elyna's mind. She tried to struggle, but there was not much she could do as a special iron restrained her hands and feet.

"Since you are a werewolf, is your partner a vampire? How did you do it? As far as I know, vampires will only marry within their race."

The hunter looked like he was talking to himself. He pondered for a long time before suddenly looking up again.

"Ah, that's not true. The werewolf that was dying at that time had your scent. You were its mate, but you also had a relationship with a vampire."

As if enlightened, the man laughed loudly. Mixed blood was rare, but twins born of different races must be even rarer.

"I'm rich! I'm really going to be rich after this!"

"No, no."

Elyna started to cry when she heard what the hunter said. She knew what was on his mind. But even if Elyna had to die, she would never let her children go through what she had.

"NO! NO!"

"Hey, what the fuck is wrong-"

"Argh!"

Elyna struggled hard for the first time, and it made the iron that held her jerk loudly. Elyna couldn't hear anything but the sound that sounded like a broken radio. Her children. Elyna had to protect her children.

"The fuck-"

BANG!

The hunter sensed danger. But before he could do anything, an explosion erupted from around Elyna. The explosion sent her flying out and, at the same time, created an invisible wall that prevented anyone from approaching Elyna.

"Argh!"

Inside the room, Elyna, who had lost control of her power, began to bleed from her nose and eyes again. The blood that came out of her body formed a solid wall, while her half-wings moved on their own to cover her body.

"My... children."

At the end of her consciousness, Elyna hugged her stomach tightly. She curled her body like a cocoon sleeping in her blood layer.

"I'll protect you."

Elyna's eyes closed. No matter how hard the hunter tried to damage the blood wall or destroy it, the blood remained standing firmly to prevent anyone from disturbing Elyna, who was sleeping inside.
