Red hair was indeed rare in Orgaia as it was in Silverston, let alone green eyes, which was an only Alcon trait.

This was why Deya wore her cape's hood most of the time.

The wooden bowl of onion soup was placed before Deya.

She hated onions but had to remind herself that she wasn't in the palace and had eaten blood demon guts for days, so this was much better.

She drank it all at once. There were two rooms, one as tiny as a shelf, that is where they currently spread their mats to turn in for the night.

The three of them squeezed into one room, yet it was the warmest Deya had felt in days.

"It's a bit small," Yul remarked, staring at her in the darkness.

"It is," Deya replied.

"You don't talk much, do you?" Yul stated, and Deya's response was a stare.

"Where are your parents?" Yul asked, and Deya's heart squeezed. For weeks, she had not felt the absence of her parents as she was constantly battling to stay alive.
