The divine plane trembled.
It was subtle—an imperceptible shift to mortals, but to the gods, it was a warning. Power was shifting, and every deity, from the lowest divine servant to the mightiest god-kings, could feel it.
Hades was growing.
The Underworld expanded—not in size, but in concept, in purpose. Where once it had been only the end, it was now becoming something more.
And Olympus was beginning to understand what that meant.
Olympus – The Hall of the Gods
Zeus sat upon his golden throne, his expression dark. The gathered Olympians watched as he traced his fingers through the air, shaping raw divine power into an image—a vision of Hades in the mortal realm, standing across from Demeter.
The tension in the room thickened.
Ares scowled. "He's moving unchecked."
Athena's eyes narrowed. "No… he's planning something."
Poseidon remained silent, but his fingers tightened around his trident. He knew his brother better than the others. Hades did not make careless moves. If he had stepped outside his domain, it was for a reason.
Zeus clenched his fist, and the vision shattered.
His storm-blue eyes burned with unreadable emotion. "We cannot allow him to surpass us."
Hera, silent until now, arched a brow. "And what do you intend to do, husband? Challenge him in his own realm? You remember what it took to breach his gates."
The room darkened at the reminder. It had taken all of them at their full power just to break into his domain once.
Zeus exhaled sharply. That was not an option.
Not yet.
Instead, his gaze turned toward Athena.
"You will find me a way to counter him."
The goddess of wisdom folded her arms. "You cannot match him in raw power. His divinities keep growing. He is becoming something different."
Zeus' expression did not change. "Then we do not match him. We surpass him."
Ares smirked, already eager for war. "Finally, something I agree with."
Poseidon, however, remained still, watching his brother with unreadable eyes.
Zeus had always been powerful. Ambitious. A conqueror by nature. But now?
Now, he was afraid.
And a god driven by fear was dangerous.
The Underworld – The Lord's Awakening
Far below Olympus, in a realm where time itself bent to its master's will, Hades sat upon his throne.
He could feel the shifting power of Olympus. Their fear, their unease. He did not need a vision to know that Zeus was already seeking a way to challenge him.
It did not concern him.
What did concern him was what lay ahead.
The Underworld was still growing, reshaping itself to match his expanding will. And today, he would take another step forward.
Hades closed his eyes.
And he reached.
Beyond the blackened rivers of the dead. Beyond the fractured lands of Tartarus. Beyond the void where even souls dared not go.
He reached into the unknown.
Power stirred—ancient, vast, waiting. There were still forces in the Underworld he had yet to claim, yet to name.
And today, one would become his.
The air thickened. The Underworld shuddered.
From the abyss, something answered.
A presence unlike any before. Something that had existed before Olympus, before the Titans, before even Time itself.
Hades' eyes opened, dark and unreadable.
It was time to claim another divinity.
And the world would feel it.
Foreshadowing: The War to Come
Beyond the divine plane, beyond the reach of Olympus and the Underworld, another pantheon stirred.
They had felt the tremors.
They had watched as Hades grew.
And they would not sit idle.
