With the chain deactivated and his spells reversed and nullified, he launched into a close-quarters attack. Even with his "bullet time," Ikky managed to narrowly dodge it, despite having one arm disabled. The spear unleashed arcs of water with enough speed to keep him out of range.

Two beams of laser light shot out of Ikky's eyes at point-blank range. At that moment, he dematerialized into dust to avoid the frontal wound; however, the water in the room soon merged with the dust, transforming his body into a mass of mud. Four beams later, the creature was "fried."

It was an interesting fight. That guy must have been very skilled in life. His style reminded Ikky of a mix of the fighting style of gamblers with the discipline and movements of those emperors. Even judging by the guy's demeanor, Ikky was almost certain he had some sort of military training.
