A/N: The main character is mainly a selfish villain, so if you're here for burning town's and pillaging villages, you're in a perfect place. It will take time to develop his character, but he'll get there.

Isabella sat beside Lexus while he was holding on to the reins; there was only a single road, so he didn't need to do much but beat the horses from time to time.

"If you keep beating the horses like that, they'll die of exhaustion," Isabella said with a chuckle while looking forward to her journey.

"Yeah, I guess I won't beat them; the journey has only started." Lexus nodded his head with a smile.

*KRA-KA-BOOM*

The sky was rumbling once again; it made a deep, huge sound. Isabella, hearing the sound, sat a little closer to Lexus.

Lexus smiled, then held her right hand with his left one, and both didn't talk much until the Imperial Road ended.

The roads next on their path were next to none, but deep ice was still there, and impending rain was making the whole weather colder and colder.
