Chapter-9 Bloodline Continuation Ceremony [1]

The Magic Kingdom of Aroth had five Magic towers — Red, Blue, Green, white, and Black towers.

Less than three hundred years ago, there was no such thing as a Black magic Tower. However, it came into existence following the pact between the great Vermonth and the Demon king of incarnation, and the years have flown since then.

Even though the number of black magicians that Eugene had slain was far beyond a hundred, it was now seen as a respectable profession. Following the Oath between the hero and demon king had also made their own deal with the hero, and in time, they amassed enough influence to erect their own magic Tower in Aroth.

In any case, unlike the Black Tower, the Red Tower had been in existence since three hundred years ago.

"Are you alright?" Lovellian asked as he looked at Eugene

"Ah, yes. I'm fi– I mean, I'm alright," Eugene coughed out.

Eugene had only accidentally some tea out of the surprising information he had just heard. Eugene cleared his throat and grabbed a nearby napkin. However, before he could start cleaning up the mess he had. Lovellian tapped his finger, and the damp tablecloth was instantly dried clean.

Magic yes it was but a more boring version, but nevertheless, it was magic.

Looking at the marvel held in everyone's eyes, Edward thought ' he only dried some damp tablecloth, it's not that brilliant thinking in confusion but decided it would be best to stay quiet.

Before his mind was instantly drawn to a thought he just had which enraged him, Edward had thought of an anime called Afetura and how dumb as shit it was JK this was the author writing. Now that I got your attention allow me to beseech upon you my wisdom this whole novel is just a satire okay? I know I copied a lot of the writing in the first 14 chapters but it will change as I get further down the line. The purpose was to establish characters and lore within the story last thing before I release you fuck Afetura and the MC is not Edgy but is just mentally unwell for example imagine getting skinned because a high scientist thought you would make a good ornament. That is the type of horrible stuff our lad went through but who gives a fuck, please bear with me my last novel was filled with curses and slurs so I have been using all my willpower to limit them, adios.

Holding his nose up Lovlillan said, "It looks like you were very surprised."

"Yes, well…" Eugene lowered his outstretched hand as he passed on an awkward smile. At times like these youth is something to envy, at times like these, the benefits were evident.

'If he's from the Red Tower… that means he's Sienna's disciple'

Though strictly speaking, Lovellian wasn't Sienna's immediate disciple. If Eugene recalled correctly Sienna's immediate disciple should be Lovellian's master's master. But although they were far apart in terms of generations, both Lovellina and wise Sienna had served as the masters of their respective Red and Green towers.

Edward remembered this world lore slightly, like for example Eugene obtaining a harem because MC powers work like this.

It was only logical, that three hundred years ago, Sienna had risen to become the youngest Head wizard of the Green Magic Tower and hell or high waters in all of Aroth's history. She was the Great Vermonth's companion and an Aechwizard who could slay both dragons and Demon Kings with assistance of course. This accumulation of merit increased her already elevated reputation and reached countless aspiring wizards who had flocked to the Green Tower, hoping to become Sienna's disciple.

On top of that, Sienna had accomplished many more feats during her time as Head Wizard. She had torn through all common magic texts in Aroth, fixing mistakes, the Seneca of magic, and better yet she held nothing back when teaching the disciples of other towers, and even her colleagues, the Head Wizard of other towers, received her guidance. Technically Edward himself could be considered an indirect disciple because Sienna, though he endured countless reincarnations and an exhausting amount of magic worlds to the point he hated them … but these magic texts were in a league of their own in both simplicity and complexity.

By the end of her tenure, the wizards who had been taught by Sienna all sat in senior positions in their respective towers. Her teachings had carried on to the present day, and the two famed wizards who considered themselves disciples of Sienna had become the head Wizards of the Red and Green Towers.

'His master's master's master'

No matter how much Eugene thought of it, it didn't seem likely that Lovellian had met Sienna in person still, Eugene hadn't expected that would meet someone related to another old comrade of his here.

Thinking for a few seconds Eugene continued his grandeur.

'If he's from the Red Tower… that would mean his specialty is summoning magic,'

Summoning magic was also one of Sienna's specialties. The house that the hero and his companions had stayed in during most of their adventures was also one of Sienna's summons.

Staring at Eugene Gilead spoke up "... you said that your name is Eugene, right?"

Although singled out, Eugene wasn't too alarmed. He simply turned to look at Gilead and nodded slightly.

'I was wondering when he'd call on me'

From the moment they had met in front of the mansion, Eugen had felt Gilead's subtle gaze linger on him.

"I heard quite the story from Tannis," Gilead said consideringly.

Continuing " Edward mentioned a lot about your duel with Cyan. He said you won it with just one move? Is this true"

At these words, Cyan had a winter shoulder moment before he violently chewed on his bottom lip. However watching this Edward raised his hand and gently patted Cyan on the shoulder in comfort "No need to fret Cyan, all you have to do is get stronger so no one can win against you"

"Yes, but there are no hard feelings left," Eugene said, sitting up straight in his seat. "Edward stopped my spear trust before it made contact"

Nodding his head Gilead listened.

"Even if I had been defeated, I wouldn't have held a grudge. That wouldn't have held a grudge. That would just mean I was too weak to protect my honor, and as such, I would be obliged to endure the insult," Eugene explained.

"You're much more mature than my son," Gilead said with a grin.

Looking at Cyan, Gilead resumes speaking "Cyan."

"...Yes," Cyan spoke with little confidence but still uttered due to the reassuring look his elder brother wore

"If Edward had not been there to stop the spears' trust you would have inevitably lost, so what are you going to do if your brother is not there?" Gilead spoke calmly

"...," Cyan remained silent.

"I heard that the duel started because you insulted him. But, even though you technically lost the due, you did not apologize to Eugene"

Hearing this Ciel averted her gaze immediately.

"th-the–"

Watching the events correspond Edward stared dazed before suddenly standing and cutting his brother off "Father, please don't condemn Cyan for he and Ciel are only oblivious to such interactions so … please blame me rather, for my lack of teaching as an elder brother."

"Edward noble as that is, you must remember Cyan still bears the surname Lionheart. That means you are descended from the Great Vermonth. To live up to the blood that you both share, you have to be able to respect the honor of others as well as your own."

"But fath–"

Cutting Edward off with a raised hand Gilead already knew the rebuttal his son was about to vocalize 'If the Great Vermonth genuinely valued the honor of his comrade, why would he assist in tarnishing the legacy of the foolish Hamel instead of putting an end to the spread of such a name?' a baffling argument that Edward always reverted

Hearing this Eugene thought

'But Vermonth, that bastard, never seemed to respect my honor.'

While thinking such a nonsensical thought, Eugene looked at Cyan's face. Because of how messed up the twin's and Edward's personalities were, he assumed their father would have the personality of more or less a scumbag. But contrasted to that belief, Gilead seemed to be someone with a sane head on his shoulders.

"...I'm sorry," Cyan admitted, his nose sniffling as tears shone in his eyes.
