Chapter- 27 Rage

Standing amid the debris was a small child

This child was captured by the spiders, and she belonged to a tribe of beast people.

The youth had two distinctive wolf ears protruding from her scalp, long blue hair cascading from her head, and a fluffy tail donned on her bottom. She was currently hiding in the spider nest, awaiting her death.

(no need to worry :) This is not a romance story remember)

She sought revenge against the Ice spiders for ruining her tribe and annihilating her family.

After the collapse of her tribe, the spiders hauled her and several other beast people to the cavern, where they would used as substanance.

She lost hope in this decrepit place; her consciousness faltered but she persisted through the pain. She vowed to kill the spiders and slaughter each one slowly. She watched her fellow tribespeople being consumed before her. Their flesh-torn bones crushed, innards spilled, and the terror etched on their face as they yelled their last breath.

The rage she felt tethered into her very being, her every fiber she felt nothing but anger, red was her perpetual view toward the world, her world was bitter.

Her animosity towards the world slowly festered, and the animosity soon transformed into self-pity as time passed. She blamed their death on herself; her weakness was evident in her body.

Frail arms showing little to no training. She held limited strength, so even if given the childish dream, her possibility to enact revenge was zero, what would she be able to do?

She lurked at death's door, her endorsement of her death was there and to finally be at amicability.

That was until her tranquil ending was interrupted.

"Oh my oh my. This aching in my heart oh yes oh yes!, it desires a momentary relief from my existential pain … but as I watch blood spill from vain I feel ecstasy, kekeke!, COME OUT FOR FUCKS SAKE!"

She heard the yelling of a voice... This voice was not normal of course, it was filled with insanity and rendered her and the spiders to plunge into fear.

She watched as the youth dashed towards the spiders with an eerie smile carved into his face and his eyes wide leaking tears of escacay. His giggling itself was revolting.

As she watched the carnage unfold her self-loathing turned into hate.

Did she feel gratification?

No

She had finally embraced the inner turmoil of her death, and now this person came striding in here like he owned the area.

'Why couldn't he have come sooner,' she knew these thoughts were childish but she needed something to direct her enmity towards

Logic was a commodity she currently had little to spare

As she continued to watch the youth's silhouette, her breathing became labored her mindscape started to present her with insidious thoughts, she saw the ashen gray-haired boy as her prey.

She planned on putting up a front of innocence and charm while her true intention was to bring the person's guard down.

As the wolf girl continued down her grandeur of thought, it halted instantaneously…

"WAS THAT ALL THEY COULD DO!!??" yelled the crazed youth in a fit of rage and distress

As she stared at the boy's mental breakdown her instincts flared: his crimson aura cascaded through the cavern.

Watching the youth brandish his sword the girl's shivering persisted her primal instincts were yelling hazed cries, pleading with her to hide or duck.

At that moment Edward started relentlessly swinging the crimson blade in unpatterned directions. Decimating everything in the surrounding area.

After several minutes of this constant barrage of relentless swinging, the Loli was able to duck just in time preventing her from getting harmed.

Watching this she knew the difference between them, her hate became trivial and inevitably turned into fear.

Her breathing got quicker and raspier, the rate at which her heart beat increased the body muscles started tensing and her legs shook in preparation to run and her primal instincts pleaded with her to run.

These behavioral and physiological changes were the collective of the fight-or-flight response.

Her reaction was of a prey being stalked by a predator.

Staring at a predator she anticipated the response of the initial inhibition of movement and augmented vigilance, but also in physiological mobilization with increasing proximity; as the predator approaches the strike zone, instead of fight or flight, there is a final rush.

She was the prayer and he was the predator.

As the youth's rage ceased he started giggling maniacally

Crack!

Edward turned his head violently and stared towards the Loli wolf girl.

As he stared at the hopeless creature, his rage dormant turned into jubilance, her filthy look truly enticed him, and cynical thoughts eroded his mind

'KillherKillherkillherkillherkillherkillherkillher…!'

His body once again started to shiver.

-Edward (sane)

As Edward watched the chaos unfold before him he just waited, seated patiently in a red recliner within his soul's realm.

Edward's soul realm was an empty abyss which only accommodated an attractive-looking recliner.

Edward held an orb which allowed him to perceive what his counterpart perceived.

Currently, he was observing his crazed version's fit of rage.

"Does he not ever learn" Edward chuckled as he pinched the bridge of his nose shaking his head.

Leaning in his recliner Edward propped his legs and started throwing the orb into the air and catching it for several minutes before he noticed something odd happening.

"Why did he stop?" Edward blurted aloud

Edward was utterly confused normally his crazed self, if his thirst for blood was not satiated would go on a rampage for several days.

But he stopped?

Edward confused scratched his head and placed the orb on his lap.

"I understand now," Edward said after seeing the Loli wolf girl. He realized she was doomed.

But what could he do… he had no control over his body.

Edward nodded his head placed the orb on the abyssal floor and waited staring toward the abyss.
