Chapter 1: A Wish Beyond Ragnarok

Record of Ragnarok: Sasaki Kojiro's Rebirth in the Fate Universe

Chapter 1: A Wish Beyond Ragnarok

The battlefield was silent. Not a single sound echoed through the arena of Ragnarok as the body of Poseidon, the God of the Seas, collapsed onto the blood-soaked ground. The unthinkable had happened—a human had defeated a god. Sasaki Kojiro, the man known as Humanity's Greatest Loser, had triumphed in a battle that should have been impossible.

Kojiro stood with his blade at his side, exhaling deeply as he gazed upon his fallen opponent. The once-arrogant god lay lifeless before him, his trident shattered. A moment of disbelief hung in the air before the realization struck—Humanity had claimed its first victory against the gods.

The silence was shattered by an eruption of cheers from the human spectators. From legendary warriors to ordinary men and women, all rejoiced at the unprecedented triumph. The gods, however, watched in stunned silence, their divine egos shaken by the defeat of one of their own.

But just as the celebration began, the sky rumbled.

A massive screen materialized above the arena, stretching across the heavens. It was unlike anything seen before—neither divine nor human in origin. The screen radiated a golden light, pulsating with an otherworldly presence. A voice, deep and commanding, echoed throughout Valhalla.

"Sasaki Kojiro, Humanity's Greatest Loser. You have accomplished what no other human before you has achieved. You have slain a god. As a reward for your victory, you are granted a single wish. State your desire, and it shall be fulfilled."

The arena fell into absolute silence once more. Every god, every human, every divine spectator turned their eyes to Sasaki Kojiro, awaiting his response. Would he wish for power? Eternal glory? The resurrection of lost warriors?

Kojiro simply chuckled, rubbing the back of his head. He looked up at the massive screen, his face relaxed yet filled with an unexpected determination.

"My only wish?" Kojiro mused, then grinned. "I want to be reborn with all of my memories in the world of the Fate series anime!"

A collective wave of confusion spread through the arena. Even the gods blinked in surprise.

"The... what?" Odin muttered, adjusting his one-eyed gaze.

Zeus stroked his beard. "Fate series anime? What in the name of the cosmos is that?"

Kojiro raised his hand, silencing the murmurs. "Let me finish." He cleared his throat. "I want to be reborn in the Fate universe because there are so many beautiful women there. And in my past life, I never had a girlfriend! If I get another chance at life, I'm going to build a harem!"

The reaction was instantaneous.

Humanity's warriors stared at Kojiro in sheer disbelief. Did he just use his one divine wish… for a harem?!

The gods were equally dumbfounded. Thor, still recovering from his own battle, raised an eyebrow. Hermes chuckled under his breath. Even Brunhilde, the Valkyrie leading Humanity's charge, looked utterly horrified.

"This man…" she whispered, clutching her head. "This fool… actually won… and he asks for that?!"

The screen above flickered for a moment, as if trying to process Kojiro's wish. Then, after a brief pause, the voice spoke once more:

"Your wish has been acknowledged. Sasaki Kojiro, prepare for reincarnation."

Before Kojiro could even react, a blinding pillar of light descended upon him. The entire arena was engulfed in its radiance, forcing the spectators to shield their eyes.

And then—he was gone.

A New Life Begins

Kojiro felt weightless. It was an odd sensation, as if he were floating between dimensions. His consciousness drifted through an endless void of swirling colors. He had no body, no form—only his thoughts.

"So this is what reincarnation feels like, huh?" he mused. "Man, I hope I don't end up as some random background character."

Then, a sudden pull.

His surroundings changed. His senses returned. He could feel again—the air, the ground beneath him, the warmth of the sun.

Kojiro opened his eyes.

He found himself standing in a city. But it was unlike any city he had ever seen. Towering buildings, sleek roads, glowing lights—this was Fuyuki City, a place he recognized immediately from his knowledge of the Fate series.

A wide grin spread across his face. "It worked."

He quickly examined himself, looking down at his hands. Young. Strong. His body felt full of life. He wasn't an old man anymore—he had been reborn in his prime.

Then he caught his reflection in a nearby shop window.

His appearance had changed. Gone was the frail, wrinkled samurai. Instead, he was taller, more muscular, with sharper features and striking silver hair. He looked handsome.

"Damn… I look good."

But he had no time to admire himself for long. If he was truly in the Fate universe, then that meant—

"I need to find the women."

He was here for one purpose: to build the ultimate harem.

Kojiro turned his gaze to the city before him, a smirk forming on his lips. He knew who he was looking for.

Artoria Pendragon. Rin Tohsaka. Scáthach. Jeanne d'Arc. The legendary beauties of the Fate universe were out there.

And he was going to make them his.

With newfound determination, Sasaki Kojiro took his first step toward his new destiny.

Meanwhile… Back in Ragnarok

The battlefield remained in stunned silence.

Kojiro was gone.

But the massive screen still loomed above. And then, it changed.

The screen flickered before displaying a live feed of Sasaki Kojiro in the Fate universe.

Everyone watched as he admired his new body. Then they saw him smirk and say:

"I need to find the women."

A moment passed. Then another.

And then—the entire arena exploded into chaos.

"WHAT THE HELL IS HE DOING?!"

Brunhilde collapsed to her knees. "I entrusted Humanity's fate to… this… this harem-seeking fool?!"

Thor sighed. "I respect warriors who pursue their desires… but this is ridiculous."

Even Zeus was shaking from laughter. "That man is a true legend!"

As the gods and humans alike watched Kojiro's new adventure unfold, one thing became certain—his wish had not only changed his fate, but the fate of everyone watching.

For the legend of Sasaki Kojiro, the Harem-Seeking Samurai, had only just begun.
