Chapter 21: Mina's Danger

Steve was dumbfounded. He had no popularity points to add to his score. If he ate that much, wouldn't he end up vomiting?

The two teams set out in opposite directions to look for water.

Walking along the beach was more physically demanding than walking on flat ground, and after half an hour, everyone except Sister Bird was exhausted and out of breath.

The beach had disappeared and was replaced by a towering mountain. The team looked at each other in confusion. The only way around this obstacle was to take a detour through the woods.

Sister Bird turned to Steve and the others. "You all rest here. I'll go explore the way."

"I'll go with you," Steve said, standing up.

"No need. I'm just going to scout ahead. I'm not going into the woods, and I'll be back soon." With that, Sister Bird left without hesitation.

After watching her leave, the group found a shady spot under a tree and sat down.

Since the shade wasn't very large, they ended up sitting very close together. Steve found himself sitting next to Mina, and he could smell the pleasant scent coming from her.

Steve, too, was startled when the snake fell. The snake was over a meter long, with a slender body and a bright emerald green color. Its tail brushed against him.

Bai Xiaolu and Chi Chi turned around and saw Steve's serious expression as he spoke.

Had they not heard Steve tell Mina to stay still, they would have screamed out loud.
