The hunters bait

 (Chapter 54:Mira's Pov)

The world around me blurred, the weight of Lorenzo's words settling in like ice in my veins.

 They're after your uncle, Caelyn.

I didn't hesitate.

"We have to go."

 Lorenzo's jaw tightened. "Mira—"

"No." My voice came out sharper than I intended, but I couldn't bring myself to care. "We're not debating this. We leave now."

A muscle ticked in his jaw. "This could be a trap."

I knew that. Of course, I knew that. Callidus wasn't careless—he was calculated, patient. If he wanted Caelyn, it wasn't just for revenge. It was for me.

I forced my breathing to slow. "If we wait, he's dead."

Lorenzo exhaled through his nose. "Vincenzo?"

Vincenzo was already pulling his weapons from his belt, twirling a blade between his fingers. "I say we crash the party."

Lorenzo didn't look convinced, but he knew there was no stopping me.
