(Chapter 63:Mira's Pov)
I lifted my self up from the bed while making my way towards my uncle's practice room.
His presence was the only thing that felt familiar, a tether to the world I once knew. But even he seemed different now. There was an intensity in his eyes, an unspoken weight to his words. The moment he saw me, he didn't ask questions. He just pulled me into his embrace, holding me tightly as if he feared I might disappear.
"Are you all right?" His voice was strained, the concern evident, but there was something else in his gaze—an urgency. Something important was coming, and I could feel it in my bones.
"I don't know," I whispered, pulling away slightly. "I don't know what's happening to me, Uncle. There's this darkness inside of me, and I can't control it."
