"We need to move," Caelyn said, his voice sharp with urgency. "Now."
The house was ruined beyond repair—furniture overturned, walls clawed through, and the scent of burning wood mingling with blood. I clutched the ancient book to my chest, my pulse still unsteady. The enemies had come for it, for me, but we had fought them off. Barely.
"They'll regroup," Lorenzo said, his voice dangerously calm. "We don't have time to waste."
Selene wiped at a cut on her cheek, her eyes darting between us. "Move where? They found us here. They'll find us again."
Lorenzo's gaze was unwavering. "Not if we go underground."
Caelyn frowned. "You have an underground safe house?"
Lorenzo gave a sharp nod. "Reinforced. Hidden from magic. They won't sense us there."
