(Chapter 108:Mira's POV)
The air in the chamber was thick with tension. The flames in the hearth crackled softly, casting flickering shadows against the stone walls. I sat at the long oak table, flanked by Lorenzo and Caelyn. Across from me, Vincenzo leaned back in his chair, fingers steepled beneath his chin. Selene stood near the window, arms crossed tight over her chest, watching the darkness outside like it might break in at any moment.
No one spoke. Not yet. But we all knew why we were here.
The Blood Court was closing in. And if we didn't move first, we wouldn't survive what came next.
"They're not giving us much time," Vincenzo said finally, his voice low and sharp. "The summons from the Court wasn't a request. It was a warning."
"They want us to surrender Mira," Selene added, her tone bitter. "Or they'll burn everything we care about to ash."
