Chapter 127: Minato's Illegitimate Daughter

Seated at the table, Danzo listened to Queen Sara's account, feeling somewhat speechless. He hadn't expected the story to unfold like this.

In Sara's recollection, there was no trace of the time-traveling Naruto. Instead, through the combined efforts of Minato Namikaze, Chōza Akimichi, and Shibi Aburame, they had managed—albeit with great difficulty—to defeat the rogue ninja Mukade.

However, Minato himself had suffered severe injuries and fallen into a coma.

And during that coma… something rather delicate had happened.

"Does Minato know?" Danzo asked, raising an eyebrow as he studied the queen's nostalgic expression.

He was tempted to tell her outright—this was a crime. If Uzumaki Kushina found out, the Land of Rōran might very well suffer the wrath of the Nine-Tails.

Sara's face flushed slightly under Danzo's scrutinizing gaze.

"He… probably doesn't."

Danzo's expression turned even stranger. Clearly, he had misunderstood something.

Sara hurriedly explained, "I belonged only to him. Our clan has a very unique constitution. When we combine with a strong individual, conception is extremely easy, and we only ever give birth to daughters."

"Is it because of your control over the Ryūmyaku?"

"You even know about that?" Sara was visibly surprised, but after a moment, she seemed to accept it. "Well, I suppose that makes sense."

"I came here precisely because of the Ryūmyaku," Danzo said, standing up. "I didn't expect to meet a descendant… Get some rest. We'll discuss things further tomorrow."

With that, his figure slowly faded into the darkness of the room.

...

Back in his quarters, Danzo digested the information he had just learned. A smirk tugged at the corner of his lips.

"Minato really is something… Even a queen would throw herself at him, and in this way, no less… I'd love to see his reaction if he found out. And Kushina's."

...

The next day,

Queen Sara hosted a formal banquet for the envoy delegation.

However, throughout the entire event, both she and Danzo seemed distracted.

Danzo, for his part, had little interest in such affairs, his mind preoccupied with thoughts of the Ryūmyaku. Sara, on the other hand, seemed as if she hadn't slept well, weighed down by her thoughts.

As the banquet neared its end and the meal was served, Danzo finally spoke.

"You may all leave."

"Yes, my lord," came the obedient response as everyone stood, bowed respectfully, and exited.

Even the ministers and guards of the Land of Rōran left without question.

"…What?" Sara stared in surprise at her retreating attendants.

"It's fine," Danzo assured her. "I just didn't want them to interrupt our conversation."

This was the second time she had witnessed his ability to command a room like this.

That morning, she had asked her guards about the previous night, and their response was that they had remained at their posts without issue.

And yet… her guards included warriors with chūnin-level strength.

"Yesterday… I didn't get the chance to ask, what exactly is your relationship with Minato?" Sara's face reddened slightly as she posed the question.

"You could say… I'm a senior to the child."

Hearing this, Sara breathed a quiet sigh of relief.

Somehow, the idea of Danzo being related to Minato filled her with a sense of pride. It was only fitting that the man she had chosen came from such an exceptional lineage.

"The Ryūmyaku has been sealed away," Danzo said, shifting the topic. "The Land of Rōran's situation isn't looking good. If things continue like this, it won't be long before it disappears altogether."

At the mention of her country's plight, Sara's expression darkened.

"The power of the Ryūmyaku is too immense. If the seal is undone, the Land of Rōran will perish even faster."

A lesson hard learned—the arrival of Mukade, the rogue ninja from Sunagakure, had proven as much.

Danzo leaned forward slightly. "If I help you restore your nation, would you assist me in controlling the Ryūmyaku?"

Sara hesitated.

This was exactly what Mukade had once told her mother… before ultimately killing her.

Danzo, noticing her uncertainty, added, "You don't need to worry. I won't harm your people or your country. After all, you are Minato's woman."

Even if Minato himself was unaware of that fact.

To the west of Rōran's capital, the desert had already swallowed everything. It wasn't even a wasteland anymore—just endless, shifting sands.

"The sandstorms all come from the west?" Danzo asked, gazing at the vast, barren landscape.

"Yes." Sara's expression was heavy. "No matter how hard my people try, they can't stop the desert from encroaching on our land."

Danzo studied the scene before turning back to Sara, whose eyes reflected her despair.

"If you weren't Minato's woman, this would be much simpler," he mused.

He looked out at the boundless desert and added, "But given the circumstances, I suppose I'll have to put in some extra effort."

With that, he swiftly formed hand seals.

"Wood Release: Nativity of a Sea of Trees."

He poured an overwhelming amount of chakra into the technique without restraint.

The sand began to shift. From beneath the golden dunes, countless trees surged upward, racing to claim the barren land.

In mere seconds, what was once a lifeless desert had transformed into an endless sea of lush greenery.

Sara stood in stunned silence, her eyes wide with disbelief.

She had already witnessed Danzo's strange abilities before, but never had she imagined he possessed such immense power.

The strongest man she knew was Minato Namikaze… and even he would never have been able to accomplish something like this.

Danzo looked upon the vast forest with satisfaction.

"Consider this a small gift to the next generation," he murmured. "Not bad at all."

The newly-formed forest instantly changed the climate. The hot winds that had plagued the land were blocked, cooling the surroundings. The air, once thick with dust, was now crisp and clean.

These trees would endure in the desert for at least a century or two. And as long as the environment improved even slightly, they would last far longer.
