"Is this not the leader of the Righteous Azure Vanguard?" Gao asked, his voice low and gravelly, immediately he recognized the face before them.
Jian Feng's smile was a thin, enigmatic line. "That doesn't matter now," he said, his voice dripping with amusement. "What matters now is..."
Guang Cheng cut him off, his eyes blazing with intensity. "We all know why you're here," he said, his voice firm. "But you'll have to pass over my dead body before you can lay your hands on that sword."
Xian Yue's eyes narrowed, her expression thoughtful. She knew that Guang Cheng was a skilled warrior, but she also knew that Jian Feng was not to be underestimated.
"Your Highness, you don't have to waste your strength on a mere mortal," Guang Cheng said, his eyes locked onto Xian Yue's. "Leave him to me."
Xian Yue nodded, her eyes never leaving Jian Feng's face. Mo Yuan and Gao stood beside her, their eyes fixed on Jian Feng.
Guang Cheng drew his sword, the blade flashing in the dim light. Jian Feng sneered, drawing his own sword.
The two warriors clashed, their swords ringing out as they exchanged blow after blow. Guang Cheng's first attack was a sword skill mixed with magic, a technique that only immortals and demons possessed.
The blade sliced through the air, leaving a trail of glittering stars in its wake. Jian Feng stumbled backward, his eyes widening in surprise. He had never seen a technique like that before, and he didn't know how to defend against it.
Guang Cheng pressed his attack, his sword slicing through Jian Feng's defenses. Jian Feng grunted in pain, his breathing heavy, as Guang Cheng landed blow after blow.
"Hmm... immortal skills do live up to their reputation," Jian Feng said, his voice laced with admiration, with one of his knees on the floor.
Gao's eyes narrowed, his expression thoughtful. He had never seen Jian Feng so easily defeated before.
Mo Yuan's eyes gleamed with interest, his thoughts racing with possibilities. If Xian Yue's guard could injure the famous leader of Azure Vanguard with one blow, I wonder how strong Princess Xian Yue would be, he thought to himself.
But Guang Cheng never expected Jian Feng to be so weak. He had high expectations for him, since he could enter the legendary QingYun Shan cave without passing through the entrance, something he, an Immortal couldn't even think of.
''Maybe I've overestimated him" Guang Cheng whispered in his thoughts.
This made him let his guard down a bit, and Jian Feng wouldn't let that opportunity slip by, he took that chance to strike.
With a swift motion, Jian Feng struck out, his sword slicing through Guang Cheng's defenses. Guang Cheng grunted in pain, his eyes widening in surprise.
But Guang Cheng's response was swift and deadly. His sword sliced through the air, sending Jian Feng flying backward. Jian Feng crashed into the wall of the cave, his back slamming against the stone.
Despite the pain, Jian Feng smiled to himself. He had gotten what he wanted - a small sample of Guang Cheng's immortal blood.
"You damn immortal... I don't have your time," Jian Feng said, his voice laced with pain. "I got what I want, so I'll just leave. But I won't forget to take my revenge when we cross paths again."
And with that, Jian Feng staggered out of the cave, leaving Guang Cheng and the others staring after him in confusion.
"If he wasn't here for the Clear Cloud Sword, then what was his intention?" Xian Yue asked, her eyes narrowed in thought.
Guang Cheng replayed the fight in his mind, his thoughts racing with possibilities. Wait... what if the dagger was poisonous? he thought to himself.
He took a closer look at the wound on his left arm, his eyes scanning the area for any signs of poison. After a careful examination, he breathed a sigh of relief. It's just a mere cut, no poison at all.
But before they could ponder further, the ground began to shake, and the sound of rumbling stone echoed through the cave. Xian Yue's eyes widened in alarm.
"What's happening?" she asked, her voice laced with concern.
"I think a mechanism has been activated," Mo Yuan said, his eyes scanning the area.
But before they could react, a massive stone cell arose from the ground, trapping them inside. Guang Cheng's eyes blazed with anger.
"This must be one of Jian Feng's tricks," he growled.
But before they could think of an escape, a voice echoed from outside the cell.
" It's not Jian Feng's trick but mine"
