A Surprise Visit to LimTech HQ
Inside the sleek, high-rise office of LimTech, Su Yan was buried in work, her red-rimmed glasses perched on her nose as she typed away at her computer. The soft glow of the screen reflected against her face, her usual confident demeanor shifting into one of deep focus.
Then, the sound of her office door opening made her glance up.
She froze.
Joshua stood there, leaning lazily against the doorframe, his sharp eyes locked onto her with an amused smirk.
Su Yan blinked, processing his sudden arrival. "You? What are you doing here?"
Joshua strolled in, his voice smooth. "What? Am I not allowed to visit my girlfriend?"
Su Yan's face instantly turned red. "W-What are you saying so casually?!"
Joshua chuckled, stepping closer until he was right in front of her desk. "Weren't you feeling lonely? You even texted me."
Su Yan's eyes widened in panic. "I-I was NOT lonely! I just… I thought you were busy and wouldn't come."
Joshua smirked, leaning down so his face was inches from hers. "I'm never too busy for my girl."
Her breath hitched.
She quickly turned away, grabbing the nearest document and pretending to read it, but the deepening blush on her cheeks betrayed her.
Joshua, thoroughly enjoying himself, smoothly leaned over her chair, placing one hand on the armrest and the other on the desk, caging her in.
"You missed me, didn't you?"
Su Yan gulped, her fingers gripping the papers tighter. "I… I—That's not—!"
Joshua reached for her delicate hand and brought it to his lips, kissing her fingers softly.
Su Yan felt her entire body go weak. Her heart pounded furiously in her chest as she stared at him, wide-eyed.
"I-I'm still working," she mumbled, barely keeping her composure.
Joshua chuckled. "Then I'll wait." He pulled up a chair and made himself comfortable in her office.
Su Yan could only stare at him in disbelief.
This man… how was he so shamelessly charming?!
An Intimate Dinner Date
After work, the two of them left for dinner at an upscale, private restaurant Joshua had reserved. The atmosphere was perfect—dim lights, elegant décor, and soft piano music playing in the background.
Su Yan, still flustered from earlier, poked at her food, stealing glances at Joshua when she thought he wasn't looking.
But of course, he caught her.
Joshua smirked. "You keep sneaking looks at me. Do I look that handsome tonight?"
Su Yan nearly choked on her drink. "I—I was NOT sneaking looks!"
Joshua chuckled, resting his chin on his hand. "I'll pretend to believe you."
Despite her embarrassment, the warmth in her chest only grew.
As the night continued, the conversation drifted into more personal territory.
Su Yan hesitated, then spoke softly, "You know… I've never really let anyone into my life like this before."
Joshua, sensing the shift in her tone, set his glass down and gave her his full attention.
She continued, her voice tinged with vulnerability.
"I've always been focused on work, always chasing perfection. I thought I didn't need anyone. But…"
Her fingers lightly traced the rim of her wine glass.
"Ever since I met you, I feel like… my world has changed."
She looked up at him, her eyes shimmering with unspoken emotions.
Joshua reached across the table, gently tucking a stray strand of hair behind her ear. "You changed my world too, Yan'er."
Su Yan's breath hitched.
And in that moment, she knew.
Joshua wasn't just someone she admired. He wasn't just her boyfriend.
He had become the most important person in her life.

A Night to Remember
After dinner, Joshua walked Su Yan back to her apartment.
The tension between them had changed.
Before she could step inside, Joshua suddenly grabbed her wrist, pulling her gently but firmly toward him.
Their faces were close—too close.
"Yan'er," he whispered, "let me stay with you tonight."
Su Yan's eyes widened, her pulse racing.
She should have pushed him away, she should have told him no.
But deep down… she didn't want to be alone tonight.
"…Okay," she whispered.
