Chapter 39: Just some random girl at the corner of the street

Julia returned to Pierre's side with the news, and Pierre was looking at her with a slight fear since she could be the agent of death that his father sent to kill him.

"Good news, your father is in a better mood now," Julia reported.

"R-really? How did you do that? I thought he was going to cook me!"

"It's not difficult as long as you provide him with another plan," Julia smiled. "Though, I want to ask you something."

"What is it?"

Julia looked at her surroundings. Everyone was still busy with their discussion on how to get rid of Evelyn or her baby. Nobody paid attention to them, and nobody asked Pierre about Julia, despite them walking in together with such a huge age gap.

"I wonder why nobody is questioning you about my presence? They treat us like air," Julia asked.
