“You’re out of your mind,” Eve snaps. “You could have any woman in this world, and you want ME to be the mother of your children?!”

“Why not? You’re smart, savvy, and fucking hot,” Alex says as he takes a step forward, trapping her body between his muscular arms. His dark blue eyes gaze deep into hers with unbridled lust. “I want our children to have the best from both of us. Our children could take over the world.”

“There is no ‘our’,” Eve says coldly, pushing him away. “I will be the surrogate for your children. This is nothing but a business deal. There is NO love in this contract. But in exchange, you need to do something else.”

“And what is it?”

“Help me take down my ex-fiance. That bastard deserves to die after fucking my mom and ruining my life.”

Alex chuckles. “It’s a deal then, sweetheart.”

"Why should I be angry at you?" Alex asked in confusion.

"Because I was acting out of line. I know that I should've just kept my mouth shut, and let your father have his way to insult me," Eve muttered. "Honestly, I don't care if he looks down on me, but I can't let him think that we are not meant to be together."

Alex slowed down his car, his eyes were still on the road, but he glanced at Eve for a second and asked again, "You could've just told him the truth about us?"

"No, we can't," Eve gave him a side-glare. "I know what you've been thinking, Alex. You set me up in that situation, so I can't say no or tell him the truth about our business deal. You didn't tell him that we broke up two years ago."

Alex had a thin smile after hearing that. His mood eased a little when he remembered how Eve bravely told his father that they had been dating for seven years straight.
