Alex watched as his beloved walked towards her room. He had a kind smile when Eve turned around to look at him for the last time. He said, "Go and rest, Eve. I'll cook something for dinner, alright?"
"Mm, thanks," Eve nodded before she entered her room.
The moment the door was closed, all of those kind smiles and warmth disappeared in an instant. He looked at Josh—his childhood friend and also informant, with his cold, blue eyes like Josh was nothing but an insignificant insect.
"Never stare at my woman like that again," Alex threatened. "You are my good friend, but this will be my last warning."
He shook his head slightly and looked up to his best friend. He wanted to ask more about that woman just now but decided to refrain himself.
Josh was trying to recover from the whole situation. He had shivers down his spine when Alex stared at him like this because he knew how cruel Alex could be when he was angry.
