I took a peek out the glass door, as did my uncle.
Indeed, there were several suspicious men in black lurking around below as Ghostdoctor said.
"Damn it, damn it, damn it!" Uncle exclaims in vexation.
Ghostdoctor slowly pulls out his already blood stained scissors again, indicating what he's planning to do.
"No, no!" Uncle grabbed Ghostdoctor's wrist that was holding the knife.
"If this game is fake, you're literally murdering people!"
"It's for the greater good, so we can escape with our memories intact and burn this game to the ground."
"You're still not doing it." My uncle increases the strength in his grasp.
He's a bigger guy compared to Ghostdoctor, Ghostdoctor couldn't retaliate and returned the scissors back into it's sheath on his waist.
"We might need to, eventually." I told my uncle.
"No! NO! This is wrong damn it!" Uncle still refusing murder.
In my opinion, Ghostdoctor has a fair point. All this kills, all this bloodshed, is for the greater good, it's a necessary sacrifice.
"There's another option." Eleanor proposes.
She steps forward with her head hung as she suggests,
"They're here for me, they don't know who killed Corpse, they'll automatically assume it's me considering our history."
"You're suggesting to dissolve this alliance, turning you two in so us three can escape." I said, and Eleanor nodded.
"Not possible, I need all of you, you all know about the secret of the game, my identity, and has the power to win the tournament with me." Ghostdoctor retorts, "I can't let my information get out, please understand that, I'll use any means necessary to make you stay." He says with a threatening glare on Eleanor.
True, this information spreading further than the five of us increases risk, risk that this information eventually reaches a Mage, with a drone that has a wiretap.
Ghostdoctor will be absolutely screwed if that happens, so the five of us are pretty much forced to be inextricably bound now because of Ghostdoctor.
Damn, what the hell Ghostdoctor?
Ken behind Eleanor lets out a sigh of relief, since this alliance will now continue to protect him and his sister.
Eleanor was unwavered by Ghostdoctor's threats. In fact, she lifted her head up to stare back into Ghostdoctor's eyes, with that same serious, strict, indifferent expression of hers.
My uncle was extremely frustrated, he had his palm pressed against his face standing in one of the corners of the room, as in contemplating what has caused all of this to happen.
I gotta say, this all happened definitely because of me.
What a situation we're in right now. As if being hunted by the third strongest alliance in the game isn't enough, now we're also inextricably bound by an unspeakable secret of a mysterious individual.
Then there's the fact that this game is all fake, that we're all actually alive. That shocked the other three, not really me, I felt something fishy about the game from the beginning.
Nonetheless, a lot is happening, it's hard to process everything at once. I have a pretty good plan to get out of our current predicament though.
"What are we gonna do then?" Eleanor questions Ghostdoctor, but I was the one to answer.
"I've got a plan, but I need everyone's trust for it to happen."
My uncle turned around, he placed his hand on my shoulder with a serious look on his face, then said,
"I trust you."
"What's the plan?" Ghostdoctor asks.
"The monthly Afterlife Tournament has begun."
"Player Sean Anthony has left the alliance Dawn Breakers."
I walked downstairs to the men surrounding this building with my hands in the air.
The second I set foot on grass on the ground floor, I was completely surrounded by men in black with no escape route possible.
"Wait! I'm not with them anymore!" I declared loudly with my head hung and my hands up, displaying vulnerability and submission.
One of the men approached me closer, he takes off his sunglasses and hat and...oh it's just Isaac again.
"Your fucking uncle, made me lose a fucking leg, son." He said with a disgruntled face.
I averted my gaze downwards, indeed there's no mistaking it, his left leg's a prosthetic, I can tell even through the long trousers.
"I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm not with him anymore please, you can check my profile!" Pulling out my best acting skills here to act as vulnerable and nervous as possible.
"So what if you're not in the alliance anymore? The hell does that even prove?"
"I'll tell you where they are! I'll tell you where they are! Your alliance wants Shockwave right? I can guide you there."
"Did you forget? You also wronged us, you rejected our offer into our alliance."
"Well then I'll join now, is that not enough?! It's win win for both of us, think about it please!"
I posed a great deal, it's indeed undoubtedly win win for both sides. Isaac thought for a while, before responding,
"You can't join the alliance right now, you need permission from our leader to do that, she's busy in the tournament."
"Is that a yes?! Please, I may not be able to join now but I will be able to once the tournament's over, I pledge full loyalty!" This is embarrassing, but it's all part of the act.
"You also need permission from the leader to leave an alliance, how the hell did Frostbite just let you leave like this?"
"I was the previous leader, my uncle gave that title to me after making the alliance, a leader can leave and reassign his role anytime."
"That true?" He turned to someone on his right, who leaned forward to whisper in his ear after his question.
Then he turned back to me, with a derisive look on his face that I don't appreciate.
"Full loyalty right? Show me where they are in this building then, that'd be how you prove your loyalty to Living Cemetery."
"With pleasure, I will."
As stupid as always, Isaac, you fell for it with barely any suspicions.
