Ch 10. Two Wild Dogs

Blacksmith Shop

Jit looked at the armor in admiration and said, "What a great armor!"

Without wasting any time, he put it on. He moved his arms and stretched a little, the armor was lightweight and flexible.

"It fits perfectly," Jit said with satisfaction.

He then took out the required amount of money and handed it to the blacksmith.

The blacksmith accepted the payment with a nod and said, "If you ever need any weapons, items, or armor, feel free to visit my shop anytime."

Jit nodded and started heading toward the city wall gate to go outside for today's hunt.

I also wanted to buy that Rank C ring, but I don't have the money right now. Let's see next time if it's still available, I'll buy it . Jit thought to himself.

Outside the City – Dense Forest

After reaching the dense forest, Jit began searching for monsters to hunt. He wandered for a long time, but there was no sign of any monster there.

Just as he was about to move deeper, an arrow suddenly shot toward him from behind. Jit swiftly dodged it, turning around with sharp eyes. A group of hunters stood there, smirking.

They were the same hunters Jit had encountered outside the Warrior Guild two days ago.

So ,"They are the ones who hunted all the monsters here," Jit whispered to himself,

Mohan, their leader, stepped forward, his face twisted with rage. "So, it's you! The one who humiliated me last time. This time, I'll kill you!"

With a furious roar, Mohan charged at Jit, swinging his fist with full force. But Jit effortlessly dodged, appearing behind him in an instant. Before Mohan could react, Jit landed a simple punch to his back.

Bang!

Mohan was sent flying over a foot away, rolling on the ground before coming to a stop. Blood start coming from the corner of his mouth.

He coughed, his eyes filled with disbelief. "H-How…? How can you be this strong? You're only Level 24, while I'm Level 32! This is impossible!"

In rage , Mohan shouted to his men, "What are you all waiting for? Kill him!"

His subordinates didn't hesitate. They activated their skills and launched a combined attack at Jit.

But this time…

Jit didn't even dodge.

Their attacks landed directly on his body.

Crack!

A horrifying sound echoed through the forest. But it wasn't Jit who was injured it was them. The hunters' hands fractured on impact, some even breaking completely.

One of the men gasped, clutching his arm. "H-How can this be possible?!"

Another man, "I-Impossible! Even with all our attacks combined… he's completely fine!"

A third hunter, his face pale, muttered, "He must be wearing some kind of high-rank defensive armor… There's no way he can withstand this otherwise!"

Jit smirked. Before they could react, he moved.

Whoosh!

His figure blurred, disappearing from their vision.

And in the next instant—

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The hunters all collapsed to the ground, groaning in pain. None of them had even seen how he attacked.

Mohan, watching his men fall like ragdolls, clenched his fists in frustration. "Useless! You're all garbage!"

Jit walked up to him, his cold gaze sending shivers down Mohan's spine.

Mohan gulped, trying to act tough. "Y-You don't know who my brother is!"

Jit tilted his head. "And why should I care?"

Mohan's voice wavered as he forced out the words. "My brother is the leader of the Lion Guild, a D-rank guild. He's Level 70! If I tell him about this, he won't let you off easily!"

Jit chuckled. "Oh? Is that so?"

Slap!

Mohan's head snapped to the side.

Slap!

Another strike to the opposite cheek.

Then another.

And another.

Right. Left. Right. Left…

The crisp sound of slaps echoed through the forest.

Mohan's face swelled, tears welling in his eyes. "P-Please! No more! I won't tell my brother! Just let me go!"

Jit smiled. "I never said I was going to kill you, did I?"

Mohan's body trembled. "I-I can give you money! Women! A house anything you want!"

Jit raised an eyebrow. "Oh? Then give me money right now."

Mohan hesitated. "I… I don't have any on me…"

Jit crossed his arms. "You have a storage ring, don't you?"

Mohan's expression changed. "N-No! I can't give you my storage ring!"

Slap!

Another hard smack landed on his cheek.

Mohan yelped in pain. "P-Please! Stop! You can take their storage rings instead!"

"I already planned to take theirs. If you want to save your life, you will give me yours."

After a few more rounds of slapping, Mohan finally broke down, taking off his storage ring and handing it over with trembling hands.

Jit took the ring and examined it with satisfaction. "Good. Now you can all leave."

The battered hunters, barely able to stand, staggered to their feet and limped away as fast as they could, their faces filled with fear.

Jit smirked. "Weaklings."

With that, he turned toward the forest, continuing his hunt for Monster.

Dense Forest

After some time, deep within the dense forest, Jit moved cautiously, the air was filled with the scent of moss and wet soil. The only sounds were the distant calls of monsters and the rustling of leaves .

Then, a low growl broke the silence.

Jit's eyes snapped to the side, where two massive figures emerged from the shadows. Their fur was dark and matted, their red eyes glowing with hostility. These were Level 51 Wild Dogs monstrous beasts nearly twice the size of an ordinary wolf, with sharp fangs and claws that could rip through steel.

Jit immediately activated his Appraisal skill.

Jit opened his Storage and pulled out his sword. Without hesitation, he swung casually at the wild dog before him.

However, the beast reacted instantly. With a blur of movement, it activated Shadow Dash, dodging Jit's attack with ease.

Before he could adjust, the second wild dog lunged at him from the side, jaws wide open, aiming for his arm.

Jit's instincts kicked in. With a swift motion, he adjusted his grip and slashed his sword downward. The blade sliced clean through the wild dog's body, killing it instantly.

The first wild dog barely had a moment to react before Jit turned his sword on it as well. A single precise strike ended its life in an instant.

The forest fell silent once more.

Jit exhaled, lowering his sword as he began collecting the loot from the fallen monsters. Just as he finished, a deep, guttural growl rumbled behind him.

His body tensed.

Slowly, he stood up and turned his head, his gaze locking onto the source of the sound.

A pack of wild dogs emerged from the darkness, their sharp eyes was gleaming at him.

Jit's heart pounded. How could I forget? Wild dogs always live in groups.

He tightened his grip on his sword, bracing himself for the battle ahead.
