JIT'S HOUSE,BLOCK B
Jit smirked. "You don't have to worry, Mother, Father. Thanks to my awakened ability, I can level up much faster than others and defeat monsters far stronger than me with ease. Didn't I prove that last time?"
His father let out a small sigh and raised his hands in surrender. "Alright, alright. We won't ask any more questions."
Jit's father looked at him seriously. "I can't just sit at home all day doing nothing. Let's open a monster meat shop in Block B. Back in Block D, there weren't many customers who could afford to buy meat regularly. But in Block B, rich people are everywhere."
Jit raised an eyebrow. "A shop? That's a good idea, but why a meat shop specifically?"
His father crossed his arms. "In Dalton City, meat is the most consumed food. And most of it comes from monsters hunted outside the city. We can buy monster meat from warriors and sell it. Rare and high-level monster meat is extremely valuable many wealthy families are willing to pay a fortune for it."
Jit thought for a moment, then nodded. "That actually makes sense. Alright, let's do it. I'll go to the Warrior Guild today to buy a shop in Block B. But I don't know how much it costs to purchase a shop and get the necessary permits to run a business."
He then glanced at the cracked phone in his pocket. "And we need to buy crystal phones for communication. Our current ones are broken, and they're just basic models anyway."Plus, we still need to buy the pills and pay the school fees for Sonu and Soni."
His father frowned slightly. "I don't think we have enough money for all of that with just twenty-eight thousand gold coins."
Jit smirked. "Don't worry, Dad. I'm going hunting."
His parents exchanged concerned looks. His mother sighed. "Just be careful out there."
Jit nodded, As he walked toward the city gate, he mulled over a lingering thought.
The Tiger Guild will definitely come looking for that pill… but they don't know anything about me yet. They can't find me. And even if they do… His lips curled into a confident smirk. I can handle them.
He then remembered something from his encounter with Mohan. That guy mentioned his brother's level… What was it again? Level 80, maybe?
Jit shook his head. "No point worrying about them now. I have a lot to do today."
At the City Gate
Mohan gritted his teeth in frustration. "We've been waiting here for hours! Where the hell is he?"
Just then, one of his men hurried over. "Boss! I just saw him, he's coming this way!"
Mohan's eyes lit up with malice as he spotted Jit walking straight toward the city gate, preparing to leave.
He sneered. "What are you all waiting for? Attack him and kill him!"
Ravi quickly stepped forward. "Boss, he's heading outside the city. It'll be easier to kill him there. If we attack him here, there are too many people around. If the Warrior Guild sends hunters to investigate, we'll be in trouble."
Mohan smirked, cracking his knuckles. "Fine. Once he steps outside, it'll be his last day alive. He'll never return to the city again."
With that, Mohan and his group silently followed Jit beyond the city walls.
Outside the City
Jit kept walking at a steady pace, fully aware of the presence behind him. After some time, he finally stopped and spoke, his voice echoing in the open air.
"You all… why are you hiding like rats? I can see you."
Silence.
Then, footsteps.
Mohan and his men slowly emerged from behind the rocks, grinning wickedly.
"You've got guts," Mohan said, cracking his knuckles. "But guts won't save you today, Jit."
Jit's eyes narrowed slightly. How does he know my name? I don't remember telling him last time.
He crossed his arms and stared at Mohan. "How do you know my name?"
Mohan smirked. "Hmph. Finding out the name of a peasant like you? That's nothing for me." His grin widened cruelly. "If you had stayed in Block D, I would've already killed you and your family by now."
Jit's expression darkened, a powerful pressure emanating from his body. His voice dropped, laced with fury.
"Oh? So you really have a death wish."
Mohan's smile faltered for a split second as an invisible force seemed to weigh down on him and his men.
Jit clenched his fists. "Last time, I beat you like a dog, and you still haven't learned your lesson. This time, I'll make sure you don't get the chance to crawl away."
Mohan forced a chuckle, quickly regaining his composure. "You think you can do something to me this time? You're nothing." He gestured to two men standing behind him. "I brought two Level 50 warriors. They're among the best in our Tiger Guild."
He sneered at Jit. "And You are only Level 24....." His voice wavered slightly as he checked Jit's level "You… Your level increased by six in just one day? How the hell is that possible?"
Jit smirked but said nothing.
Mohan gritted his teeth. "Hmph! Even if you're Level 30 now, you're still nothing compared to two Level 50 warriors. This time, you're dead!"
The two high-level warriors stepped forward, cracking their necks.
Jit's smirk deepened. "Let's see if you can back up that confidence."
Jit scoffed. "I don't even need to use Appraisal to see your stats. Level 50? That's it?"
Before his words had fully settled, Ravi and Kewal vanished.
Fast.
Ravi reappeared right in front of Jit, his dagger flashing toward Jit's chest.
Clink!
Jit stopped the attack with a single finger.
Ravi's eyes widened in shock, but before he could react, Kewal appeared behind Jit, aiming for his neck.
Bad move.
Without even looking, Jit lashed out with a powerful kick. Kewal shot backward like a broken kite, slamming into the ground ten meters away.
Jit didn't stop. He drove a fist straight into Ravi's stomach. The impact sent Ravi flying in the opposite direction of Kewal, crashing into the dirt with a painful groan.
Mohan and his group stood frozen, their faces pale with shock.
Jit cracked his knuckles, stepping forward. His cold gaze swept over them.
"Didn't you say you'd kill me today?" His voice was calm, almost lazy. "So why are you just standing there?"
Terror gripped them. None of them dared to move.
