True form Darkseid

"Dessad"

"Yes my Master, Lord of All That Is and Will Be"

Darkseid had once been a singular undivided force but the multiverse scattered his essence across countless realities.

Now, he had reclaimed most of those pieces and absorbed the hammer, the anvil, and the corpse of the World Forger.

He stood on the brink of transcendence

not yet beyond, but dangerously close.

"Where is there Anti life equation Dessad, are you failing me Dessad"

"Forgive me my Lord Darkseid but the rebels have evaded our forces...the Kryptonian still resists "

Darkseid's power was so absolute that his presence alone could collapse a universe.

But after absorbing the World Forger, he inherited more than strength... he gained the flaw of descent.

As a being now tied to the Monitor lineage, stepping into lower planes made him unstable.

The deeper he descended, the weaker he became.

His generals suffered no such limitation.

They moved freely through reality, unbound by cosmic law.

Yet even with that freedom, they kept falling to those marked by the Life Equation

beings of light, will, and defiance.

Each defeat was a wound to Darkseid's order, a failure he would not allow to continue.

" Kill them all"

"My Lord???"

Darkseid turned his gaze, a collapsing singularity.

"These heroes cling to their codes," he said, voice low but vast "They do not kill, they refuse too.

It is their weakness… and our weapon."

He stepped forward, every motion a wound in reality itself.

"When you invade their worlds… do not simply destroy the heroes, Lay waste to their cities, burn the sky.

Break their monuments, but kill the civilians first."

Desaad flinched.

"Force them to retaliate, force them to kill you back."

He paused, letting the words settle.

"Make them break their own laws, Let their ideals rot in blood and fire And when they try to hold onto hope…"

He then smirked faintly as he revealed a cunning grin making Dessad worship him even more.

"Crush it."

His voice dropped lower.

"Go to Odym, hunt the Blue Lanterns, Slaughter them.

Tear down Adara and let their last ring flicker out in the dark."

Desaad's breath caught as Darkseid continued.

"And the Kryptonian…"

He looked outward, as though seeing across time.

"Make sure everyone sees him die."

"Let them feel hope… and watch it scream."

Darkseid's eyes burned with desire as he grinned.

"When hope and the light dies, only then will the Equation be whole"

....

"Garfield you keep cheating, Terra tell your boyfriend to play fair"

Jayden entered the main hall and noticed that the all Titans were having a game night.

The Titans were all sitting around the lounge some on the couch, some on the floor controllers in hand, snacks everywhere.

Laughter echoed through the hall.

Nightwing heard footsteps and as he turned his head, he noticed Jayden.

"Jayden, I didn't see you there."

The rest of the Titans turned their heads too, nudging Nightwing to get a better look.

Jayden stood at the entrance, holding a large suitcase-style bag.

His clothes were wet, and his hair was damp.

The bag looked heavy and worn, with the word "Kent" printed across the side in faded letters.

"I took care of the problem, can you please recommend therapy to the victims especially the children"

"I already did " Nightwing nodded as he added:

"You can store what you collected in the evidence room and join us when you're done"

"These things are mine though so why should I send them to the evidence room" said Jayden as he frowned.

The room went dead silent.

Some of the Titans gasped as they heard Jayden's words and for a moment no one moved but Nightwing's voice stayed firm.

"We are supposed to process evidence, not keep trophies, that's not how we do things Jayden.

That's the standard protocol."

"That's how you do things but I am not one of you, I retrieved these things fair and square so why can't I keep them???"

As much as Jayden tried to make sense of Nightwing's words, he couldn't understand his request.

Jayden wasn't a Titan, he hadn't signed anything, no contract, no agreement, nothing official.

So why were they treating this like he had broken some kind of rule?

He wasn't one of them, not really, not yet, he was just sent here to "fit in" , that was it.

So the idea that they were asking him to hand things over was absurd.

To Jayden it wasn't about the bag or the gear or the weapons inside, it wasn't even about keeping them, it was about the principle.

What was his… was his.

He didn't join their team, not officially, so why did he feel like he was already being treated like he had?

"Yeah but these are mine, I don't get paid so I have to make money in other ways...I've got work to do in the lab.

Unless there's something else?"

"No, you did a good job" Nightwing added with a smile, Jayden reciprocated as he left for the lab.

"Why are you babying him like that, this is not what we were taught"

Nightwing sighed as he heard Beastboy's voice, he could see that some of the Titans agreed with him.

"Because he is all alone" Raven added before Nightwing could say something surprising all of them because she was usually quite.

"Think about it," Raven said.

"He just got his powers less than two months ago.

His grandparents are dead, He left his old life behind to sit here with us, he's trying to adjust."

She paused and continued as she added:

"He only saw Conner once, I've never heard him talk about Lois, not even once.

That says a lot."

"And Superman? Never came here, not even once...so he's all alone"

The room went quiet.

Donna, Starfire, and Nightwing didn't say anything because they understood what Raven was talking about.

They'd seen his background report, they knew about his losses, his transfer, the silence around his family.

So everything Raven said… made sense.

"Jeez Clark, how can you fuck up twice" Bart mumbled, seeing how the others looked at him he elaborated as he said:

"I get why he treated Conner that way, i mean at first, he just saw a clone.

Someone messed with his DNA and violated it.

But Jayden's his actual son not a clone not a mistake and still... he treats him like an afterthought."

Bart looked around the room and saw that the atmosphere shifted.

"Wait so what you guys are telling me is that Jayden's had his powers for less than two months.

Lost his grandparents, left his whole life behind and Superman hasn't even shown up once." Beastboy inquired with shock all over his face, even he didn't believe what he was hearing.

"And Jayden knows who his father is...no wonder why he would feel lonely and of course to him it feels like Superman's choosing the world over him." He then sighed as he added:

"Damn, That's gotta hurt."
