Keep it a secret for uncle

Rong Ci paused for a moment and asked her, "When do you want to go?"

"Well..." Feng Jingxin hesitated a bit.

Rong Ci knew that she actually wanted to go when Lin Wu and Feng Tingxin were both unavailable, so she could accompany her. However, she didn't know when Lin Wu and Feng Tingxin would be free.

So, she hesitated.

Rong Ci looked away and said, "It's okay. When you want to go, just tell your mom, and if I have time, I'll take you."

Feng Jingxin happily responded, "Okay!"

After a busy week, Rong Ci finished work early on Friday evening. When she got home and was about to make something to eat, Feng Jingxin's phone call came in.

Rong Ci hesitated for a moment before answering.

"Mom, I'm free on Saturday. Let's go skiing!"

Rong Ci had promised her that she would let her know when she was free to go skiing, but tomorrow, she wasn't planning to take her. Tomorrow's schedule was somewhat of a social obligation for her. She didn't want to worry about taking her along during that time.

She said, "Mom is busy tomorrow. You can pick another time."

Feng Jingxin pouted, "No, I really want to go on Saturday! Mom, can you go with me?"

"Saturday isn't good, maybe next week. If you still want to go, I'll take you then."

Feng Jingxin didn't listen and tried to act cute to make Rong Ci soften: "Mom..."

Rong Ci remained firm, "If you still want to go next week, tell me again. Remember to eat well and don't be picky."

After saying that, Rong Ci hung up the phone. Feng Jingxin didn't call again.

Rong Ci knew that Feng Jingxin was probably upset with her, but she didn't mind and went into the kitchen to start making dinner.

The next day, when she woke up, He Changbo called again to ask if she needed a car to pick her up.

Rong Ci declined.

After breakfast, she drove to the ski resort. When she arrived, He Changbo and Dandan were already there.

When he saw her, He Changbo looked over, and Dandan pushed He Changbo's hand away and ran happily toward Rong Ci. "Auntie!"

As Dandan jumped into her arms, Rong Ci gently hugged her and looked at her smiling face, touching her cheek: "Dandan seems to have grown a little taller, and you've gained some cute chub on your face. You're even more beautiful."

Hearing the compliment, Dandan happily nodded, "Yes! I ate a lot of meat!"

Rong Ci smiled and was about to speak when Dandan suddenly pulled out a crystal keychain from her pocket: "Auntie, this is for you."

The keychain was a small pink cat-shaped bag with a white kitten inside. It was very unique.

It was very similar to the keychain that Feng Jingxin had started attaching to her backpack recently, but it was a different color.

He Changbo often played with Dandan and Feng Tingxin, so it was normal for Dandan to have the same keychain as Feng Jingxin.

Rong Ci paused but didn't ask further, smiling, "It's beautiful. I really like it, thank you, Dandan."

When Dandan heard that she liked it, she became even happier and grabbed Rong Ci's hand to go inside, "Auntie, let's go ski!"

Rong Ci replied, "Okay."

Seeing them heading inside, He Changbo asked Rong Ci, "Have you had breakfast? We brought some for you, if you haven't eaten yet, would you like to have some?"

Rong Ci said, "No need, I've already eaten."

"Okay."

After they got dressed and put on their goggles, they began skiing.

Dandan still wasn't very skilled, but Rong Ci had been skiing for many years, so she slowly taught Dandan how to ski.

The ski resort was quite crowded on weekends. Concerned about them getting bumped into, He Changbo followed closely behind them, ready to protect them if anyone accidentally collided with them.

However, there were so many people today.

After skiing for about an hour, they were bumped into by two girls.

Dandan was fine, but Rong Ci was knocked into He Changbo.

He instinctively wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her securely into his embrace.

Rong Ci was stunned for a moment when she suddenly found herself pressed against his broad chest. She immediately felt awkward and wanted to push him away, but she felt a slight discomfort in her foot.

He Changbo didn't let go of her. "Did you sprain your ankle?"

"It seems... yes."

He called for staff to help watch over Dandan while he bent down and picked Rong Ci up.

Rong Ci thought he would ask the staff for help. She was stunned when he suddenly picked her up. Then she resisted, "Put me down, I—"

He Changbo said, "The doctor is already waiting, let's treat your foot first."

Rong Ci paused and didn't move.

After they entered the building, He Changbo put her down, and a doctor waiting nearby checked her. It turned out to be just a mild dislocation, which the doctor quickly fixed.

He Changbo asked, "Do you want to keep skiing?"

"I'm fine. I can continue."

Since they were already there, she didn't want to ruin Dandan's fun. The doctor confirmed there were no serious issues, so she didn't object.

"Yao Yao? What are you looking at?"

Sun Liyao said, "I think I saw someone familiar."

The person ahead looked so much like He Changbo from the side.

But he was with a child and a woman, so it couldn't be He Changbo, right?

She tried to take a few more steps to get a clearer look, but by the time she did, he had put on his hat and goggles and left.

They continued skiing for another hour or so, but this time, they weren't hurt.

Seeing He Changbo holding her hand and supporting her, Rong Ci gently pulled her hand back and said, "I'm fine now, thank you."

He Changbo finally released her wrist.

At lunchtime, they left the ski resort and went to a nearby restaurant.

He Changbo handed her the menu and asked her to order.

At that moment, Dandan suddenly remembered something and asked Rong Ci, "Auntie, what's your name?"

"Rong Ci, Auntie's name is Rong Ci."

Dandan nodded, "Rong Auntie."

Rong Ci smiled and touched her little face.

Maybe it was because skiing had been tiring, but Dandan fell asleep before finishing her meal.

He Changbo picked Dandan up in his arms and wiped the oil stains from the corner of her mouth.

Rong Ci had almost finished eating as well. She put down her chopsticks and said, "Shall we call it a day?"

"Okay." However, He Changbo didn't immediately stand up. Instead, he looked at her and said, "Can I invite you again next time?"

Rong Ci replied, "Sure."

He had helped her, and since Dandan needed her, it was only right for her to help him in return.

"Thank you."

"It's nothing."

Since Dandan had fallen asleep, Rong Ci still felt there was nothing more to say, so she didn't linger and turned to leave.

After watching her drive away, He Changbo stood for a while before getting into his car.

When they got home, Dandan woke up.

"Auntie Rong left?"

"Yes," He Changbo said while holding her. "By the way, Dandan, from now on, just call her Auntie, don't call her Rong Auntie. And keep Auntie's name a secret from everyone, okay?"

Dandan obediently nodded, "Okay."
