Under the encouragement of his master, Rhodes, Red King continued to rise, launching a frenzied assault on the swarm forces.
Time slowly passed, and under Red King's fierce attacks, the swarm suffered heavy casualties. However, the Tyranid army continued to gather from afar, seemingly endless. They crazily climbed onto Red King's body, only to be shaken off and trampled to death. But these creatures knew neither fear nor exhaustion.
However, Red King's stamina was visibly depleting. Swarm Tyrants, Hive Lords, and even several Titan-tier swarm creatures arrived to join the battle.
Under the combined assault of two Titan-tier creatures, Red King's massive tail was bitten off, and his body was covered in wounds.
The swarm even deployed a massive flying unit, continuously summoning Gargoyles from the sky to attack King King.
As Red King swung his massive claws and stomped his feet to crush the creatures, he no longer seemed as powerful as before.
His ability to kill Tyranid beasts was visibly weakening. By now, Red King had been fighting for an entire day, utterly exhausted, his health bar nearly empty.
However, his valiant struggle had indeed caught the attention of the Tyranid fleet. At this moment, the swarm fleet completely ignored the humans, seemingly determined to take down Red King at all costs.
On the human side, the Space Marine captain shook his head helplessly as he watched Red King, who was on the brink of death.
"He's about to collapse! The battle is almost over."
This giant beast was truly formidable!
"This Titan creature is incredibly powerful. The number of Tyranids it has killed is simply unbelievable." A young Sister Hospitaller standing nearby sighed softly.
She was supposed to have perished hours ago, but the arrival of this massive beast had forcibly extended all their lives for a little while longer.
But it seemed this was the end. Soon, they would all return to the Golden Throne.
"The Tyranids killed by that Titan creature—I can now confirm that they were not reclaimed by the swarm.
Instead, something unknown took them, perhaps even this monster itself." A commissar of the Astra Militarum observed the battlefield and spoke.
Previously, this detail had been overlooked, which was understandable. But now, as night approached, this colossal Titan beast had already slain over a dozen Hive Tyrants and wiped out hundreds of thousands of Tyranid troops.
Yet, the bodies of these creatures vanished almost instantly after being slain. If they didn't notice this anomaly now, they wouldn't be fit to bear the title of Imperial Commissar.
"It's time. We need to act as well!
Soon, we will install melta bombs and find a way to destroy the corpse of this great beast.
After we fall in battle, you must select the youngest Sister Hospitaller and have her take the genetic seeds of all our elite warriors off this planet.
The rest of us will buy her time. She must report everything that happened here to the Imperium and bring our gene-seeds back."
The Space Marine captain declared.
The escape pod could only carry two people, so they had to make a choice. After much discussion, they decided that the youngest Sisters Hospitaller would leave, carrying the Space Marines' gene-seeds, along with a Scribe Sisters.
To deliver the information, Scribe Sisters was the best choice. They were well-versed in various knowledge and could effectively record the strange events that had unfolded on the battlefield today.
Thus, the final decision was made: one Scribe Sister and one Sisters Hospitaller would escape.
The remaining Battle Sisters and Astra Militarum soldiers would buy them time, ensuring that the information and the gene-seeds would reach the Imperium.
...
Meanwhile, hiding in a cave, Rhodes silently accessed his monster attribute panel and selected an upgrade.
As Red King battled the swarm army and drew all attention, Rhodes left his previous hiding spot and found a concealed cave.
This cave had once been a camp for a squad of Astra Militarum soldiers. Now, they were all dead, leaving behind some basic laser rifles, high-explosive grenades, and several crates of military rations.
Rhodes casually opened a can, eating while watching Red King's battle from afar. Seeing that Red King was truly exhausted, Rhodes finally chose to enhance his monster.
After hours of high-efficiency slaughter, Rhodes had accumulated over 2,000 system coins, bringing his total to more than 4,700.
This was enough for two enhancements. Future upgrades would require more than 2,000 coins each—so Red King had to keep going!
Rhodes didn't increase Red King's height but instead boosted his tonnage and weight. A two-meter height increase would be noticeable, but a weight increase wouldn't be as obvious.
As a golden light flashed over Red King's body, his weight instantly surged to 23,000 tons.
His previously severed tail was instantly restored, his depleted stamina completely replenished, and all his severe wounds healed in an instant.
Now strengthened, Red King's power became even more terrifying. His defense also increased, and he once again dominated the battlefield.
Stepping forward, he charged madly at the Tyranid Hive Tyrants, smashing one into pieces with just a few slaps.
Then, he lifted his massive foot and stomped a five-meter-tall, six-meter-long Hive Tyrant to death.
Just moments ago, these massive creatures had attacked him the fiercest. Red King also noticed that they were commanding the other Tyranids.
"I may not be smart, but I know who hit me the hardest! You must be their leaders."
Watching Red King, now fully revived and even stronger than before, the Tyranid Norn Queen was completely dumbfounded.
What the hell?!
They had spent an entire day grinding down the boss's health, finally reducing it to near zero—only for the damn thing to enter Phase Two?!
"Captain, look! How is this possible? His wounds… they're all healed!"
At that moment, several Space Marines preparing to depart noticed something was very wrong.
Just moments ago, this Titan beast had been bleeding all over, on the verge of death. But now, it was completely healed!
"Go, big guy! Crush those bugs!" The young Sisters Hospitaller excitedly waved her little fists, cheering for Red King.
