Warhammer: Lord of the Endless Monster Horde [15]

With these 10,000 system gold coins, Rhodes can perform a 10-draw, obtaining 10 monster fragments, all of which are completely random.

There is also an extremely small chance of drawing a complete monster, but it is almost always the lowest-level monster. It is impossible to obtain an extremely powerful monster.

To acquire higher-tier monster fragments, the shop must be upgraded.

Upgrading to a mid-level shop requires one million system gold coins, and higher-level shops can only be accessed after unlocking them.

The mid-level shop can unlock more powerful monsters, and there is even a slight chance of drawing other special items.

Besides obtaining a second monster by drawing monster fragments from the shop, Rhodes can also choose to specially enhance Red King.

Apart from physical body and height enhancements, there is also an option to enhance beam skills. However, elemental skills such as basic flame attacks require 10,000 system gold coins.

Each enhancement consumes one physical enhancement opportunity and one height increase opportunity.

However, the initial Red King is merely a rock-type monster, with most of its abilities focused on physical strength. Enhancing it with fire-based skills might not significantly improve its combat power.

More importantly, the Tyranid Swarm has rampaged across the universe for so many years.

If they were afraid of fire, then human forces would have easily dealt with them long ago, and the Tyranid Swarm wouldn't have become the greatest enemy of the galaxy.

As for other powerful energy beam skills, Rhodes simply couldn't afford them.

Forget it, it's better to save these gold coins for strengthening Red King!

If, in the end, Red King exhausts all of its enhancement opportunities and the swarm still refuses to retreat, then Rhodes will have to enhance his monster's power and find a way to board the escape pod.

The two sisters' desire to obtain his genetic seed gave Rhoes a new idea—a plan to make the surviving humans beg him to board the escape pod voluntarily.

By now, daylight had fully broken. Red King's body had once again suffered severe damage from the swarm. Its massive feet were covered in bugs, with countless Tyranid cannon fodder risking being stomped to death just to attack it.

They constantly gnawed at Red King's feet, leaving its once-massive soles a bloody mess.

Red King's thick tail was also a primary target of the swarm's attacks. Its enormous tail had been severed and rapidly devoured by the bugs.

This was already the third time Red King had lost its tail. One of its hands had also been completely eaten by countless bugs.

This time, the injuries were even more severe than before. A massive number of swarm forces had climbed onto Red King's body.

The monster's stamina was nearly depleted, and it could no longer shake off the overwhelming number of bugs. Soon, Red King would be completely engulfed by the swarm.

From the time Red King was summoned yesterday morning until now, only about 18 hours had passed—there were still roughly six hours left before a full 24-hour cycle was complete.

Rhodes had already used two enhancements to extend Red King's survival. If this kind of enhancement were applied to a regular Ultraman warrior, that warrior would either have to kill Red King instantly or be exhausted to death by Red King's sheer endurance.

Yet, the Tyranid Swarm remained as ferocious as ever. They were indeed an incredibly powerful interstellar species.

Any other monster in this situation—without Rhodes's cheat-like enhancement and healing—would have already been overwhelmed by the swarm's sheer numbers.

Without hesitation, Rhodes chose once again to enhance Red King's physical body. This time, he spent 2,000 system gold coins, increasing Red King's weight by 3,000 tons, bringing it to a staggering 26,000 tons.

With this weight increase, Red King's body once again emitted a golden glow. The massive monster seemed to be reborn, its body becoming more compact and muscular instead of resembling a giant rubber tire smashing into things.

Its arms grew thicker, its enormous tail swung back and forth, and the bugs covering its body were instantly shaken off.

As its weight increased, Red King became even more ferocious in battle. Its defensive capabilities were significantly enhanced, and its overall attributes improved. At the same time, its skin became much tougher—whereas before, the bugs could tear into its flesh, now, at 26,000 tons, Red King no longer feared the attacks of low-level Tyranids.

The attacks from these lower-tier swarm forces could no longer even scratch Red King's monster hide.

Hordes of swarm creatures rushed forward to bite it, only to shatter their mandibles or break the hard biological weapons they wielded.

Even some ranged attacks lost their effectiveness against Red King's newly reinforced skin.

The Tyranid Swarm quickly realized that this giant creature had undergone a third round of enhancements, seemingly adapting to their attacks.

Compared to the humans, the swarm forces understood more clearly just how terrifying this enormous monster was.

The number of troops they had lost in this battle was greater than what they had spent conquering an entire planet. Moreover, the swarm had almost no biomass reinforcements left.

Even more terrifyingly, this creature was consuming Tyranids in a way the swarm couldn't understand.

The Tyranid Swarm began to regard Red King as an even greater threat.

Meanwhile, in the distance, the Space Marine Captain, the Battle Sisters, and the Imperial Guard Commissar all watched in shock as Red King once again roared back to life.

Before them was a new set of measuring instruments. Overnight, the human forces had retrieved various devices from their former military base to monitor Red King.

Among them was a bio-mass detector. With this device, humanity finally learned exactly how Red King had evolved.

"This Titan creature's defense has become even stronger. Its mass has significantly increased," reported the Sister responsible for recording the data.

"Previously, our measurements showed it weighed around 23,000 tons, but now it has reached 26,000 tons. We weren't sure if its weight had changed during the first two enhancements."

This was truly shocking.

In less than 24 hours since its appearance, this massive Titan creature had gained 3,000 tons in weight, leading to an all-around boost in power—both in defense and strength.

"However, its height hasn't changed this time—it's still around 47 meters. We should observe further.

During the second enhancement, we noticed a height increase, but the first time, there seemed to be none. It's likely that the first enhancement only increased its mass."

During Red King's first transformation, its weight might have increased, but they had simply failed to measure it at the time.
