Rhodes' lips curled into a faint smile.
Angron was banished during the Battle of Armageddon by over 100 Grey Knights working together. Though only about ten of the Grey Knights survived in the end, what about his Slaanesh killer's performance in a previous battle? With just a few casual moves, it utterly crushed over 100 Grey Knights, leaving them defenseless. Even three Nemesis Dreadknights were dismantled as if it were nothing.
If it weren't for the need to put on an act, those 100 Grey Knights probably wouldn't have lasted a few minutes before being completely wiped out. The speed of the Slaanesh killer was beyond anything they could have imagined.
As for Angron's most impressive battle? It was likely during the Arks of Omen campaign, in the Malak System, when he attacked the Choir Engine. This guy charged out of a spaceship with his bare body and leaped toward the Malak planet, only to be blasted to bits by a barrage of naval macro-cannons. Yet, he kept regenerating and reassembling himself along the way, relying on his immortality to eventually descend to the surface.
But even at his best, that's as far as his achievements go. His height and size, at just over ten meters, can't even compare to the 50-meter Ace Killers. Rhodes' monsters, on the other hand, routinely reach dozens of meters in height and weigh tens of thousands of tons.
["In the Webway, Angron's power can be significantly amplified because of its proximity to the Warp. And don't assume his height is limited to just over ten meters. If the battle demands it, with the help of Khorne's power, in the Warp-connected Webway, he can transform into a hundred-meter-tall monster,"] the Emperor explained.
The Emperor made this mistake once, which led to him being struck down and confined to the Golden Throne for over ten thousand years, unable to leave and essentially trapped there.
In reality, if the Four Chaos Gods wanted to, they could easily join forces and utterly annihilate humanity. It wouldn't even be difficult. The only reason they don't is that they'd rather watch humanity struggle on the brink of destruction, generating more negative energy to make themselves even stronger. Humans have enormous psychic potential — second only to the Aeldari. But the Aeldari were a created race, and their reproduction rate is far too slow. Humans, on the other hand, reproduce at a terrifying speed.
If you underestimate Chaos, you'll pay a heavy price.
"Alright then! Let's get a little serious. Emperor, I'll trouble you to send Daram into the Webway to deal with your wayward son," Rhodes said.
Daram had been absorbing dark energy for over ten days. His first layer of dark energy was already full, and now he was advancing to the second layer, his strength improving rapidly. Rhodes hadn't even begun enhancing Daram's height and weight. Even as he was, Daram's power was more than enough to crush ordinary Ace Killers.
The power of an Ultra-Ancient Dark Warrior is no joke. After all, he used to run with Tiga, and the four of them together once destroyed the Ultra-Ancient Giants.
["Alright,"] the Emperor agreed with Rhodes' plan. From atop the Golden Throne, he sent Daram's disk-shaped transformation device directly into the Webway.
...
Within the Webway, Daram's transformation device emitted a burst of dark red light, and the Ultra-Ancient Dark Giant Daram appeared. Spreading his arms wide, he let out a roaring laugh. The dark aura emanating from him instinctively caused some demons to retreat.
Stretching his body a little, Daram brought his fists together, causing a resounding boom, then looked with excitement at the distant, ten-meter-tall Angron.
"Hahaha! Finally, I get to stretch my muscles. The first thing I see when I come out is the guy I want to kill. Hey! Your size is a bit underwhelming, huh?"
He felt a little disappointed.
"Roar! Roar!"
Angron let out a furious roar and began drawing energy wildly from the Warp. In the Warp, Khorne himself lent his power to enhance Angron's strength.
The other Chaos Gods also stopped what they were doing to watch this battle closely. Nurgle paused his cauldron-stirring, Slaanesh ceased his indulgences, and Tzeentch momentarily halted his secret schemes.
Under Khorne's blessing, Angron's body began to swell rapidly. In the blink of an eye, he transformed into a terrifying giant daemon over 70 meters tall, with muscles exploding like detonations. His demonic wings unfurled, spanning an impressive 100 meters across.
In terms of size, Angron now dwarfed Daram significantly. This transformation, however, only made the Ultra-Ancient Dark Warrior Daram even more excited.
"Hahaha! Now this is more like it! This is a worthy opponent!"
Daram flashed a satisfied smile, standing his ground as he clenched his fists, inviting Angron to attack.
The massive daemon that Angron had become roared ferociously, smashing aside some weaker daemons in his path and trampling others to death. He charged toward Daram, swinging his enormous demonic fist. Daram met the blow head-on with his black iron fist.
BANG! BOOM!
A massive shockwave expanded from the point of collision between the two fists, blasting nearby daemons away instantly. However, the two Ace Killers behind Daram remained completely unmoved.
"Hmph!" Daram let out a cold snort as his body surged with power.
Angron, standing before him, was sent flying backward for several hundred meters, crushing countless daemons along the way. Even the arm Angron had used to clash with Daram was shattered into pieces.
While Angron's size had grown larger, that didn't mean his mass had increased. Standing 62 meters tall and weighing an astonishing amount, Daram possessed unimaginable strength.
Angron's transformation into a giant daemon was essentially a form constructed from Warp energy, lacking any physical substance. Otherwise, he could easily have been absorbed by the Tyranid swarm.
What's more, Daram had recently absorbed vast amounts of energy from the Dark Emperor, significantly boosting his power.
In their first exchange, Angron suffered a major defeat. The gigantic Khorne Daemon Prince rose to his feet, his shattered arm instantly regenerating under the Warp energy that enveloped it.
In the Warp-connected Webway, as long as a daemon's soul wasn't destroyed, their physical body could regenerate infinitely. Losing an arm was merely a minor injury.
Angron, wielding his massive demonic sword, charged forward once again. Reaching Daram, he raised the colossal blade and brought it down with a thunderous strike.
Daram didn't even bother dodging. Standing his ground, he assumed a firm stance and used the armor on his arm to block the demonic sword directly.
Boom! Boom!
Angron's supposedly indestructible demonic greatsword failed to destroy Daram's arm guard, leaving only a faint white mark on the surface.
"Two strikes. Now it's my turn." Daram's lips curled into a cold smile. He reached out and grabbed Angron's arm with one hand.
With a tremendous heave, he lifted the Daemon Prince into the air and slammed him onto the ground with a devastating over-the-shoulder throw. A single punch left Angron dazed and disoriented.
Planting his foot on Angron's back, Daram grasped the massive demonic wings on Angron's back with both hands and began to pull.
With a loud rip, Angron's colossal daemon wings were torn off by Daram in one swift motion.
The two pairs of massive wings were casually tossed into the Webway by the dark giant. Daram then grabbed Angron by the neck and flung him toward the Ace Killers.
The two Ace Killers, as if perfectly coordinated, caught Angron by his arms and restrained him before Daram.
"Heh. Your regeneration is impressive—you make a good punching bag. Stay still and let me have some fun."
Daram cracked his shoulders and moved closer to the restrained Angron. With rapid movements, he unleashed a flurry of punches, pounding Angron's chest relentlessly.
"Ora! Ora! Ora! Ora! Ora!"
The entire Webway echoed with the deafening sound of Daram's punches. Angron's chest was pulverized into a bloody mess, with massive ribs protruding from his mangled flesh.
The Daemon Prince howled in agony, struggling desperately to break free, but the two Ace Killers held him firmly, rendering him completely immobile.
This was not an even fight—it was pure brutality.
For mortals, Angron's power was nothing short of apocalyptic. As one of the most terrifying Daemon Princes of Khorne, he was the embodiment of war and bloodshed.
But against a true powerhouse like Daram, he was no match.
"First, increase your weight to 60,000 tons before challenging me! Right now, you're nothing!"
Daram smirked, mocking Angron's lack of mass and poor defense. His increase in size was superficial; without any actual weight, it was meaningless.
After a brutal session of punches, Daram grabbed Angron by the neck again and hurled him into the distance.
Angron got up from the ground, his eyes now completely blood-red. He had lost all sense of reason, driven by nothing but the desire to kill the red-armored warrior before him.
His battered chest and torn-off wings began to regenerate.
"I'll blow you to pieces and see if you can still recover!"
Daram stood firm, raising his arms as dark red energy began to gather around them.
He was about to unleash his ultimate move.
"Infernal Blaze!"
A dark crimson energy wave shot out, striking the fully regenerated Angron directly. The blast obliterated the Khorne Daemon Prince in an instant, reducing him to nothing.
The explosion was so powerful that even the surrounding daemons watching the fight were caught in the blast, torn apart by the shockwave.
Unfortunately, Daram lacked the special power needed to permanently destroy daemons, so none of them—including Angron—were truly killed.
In the crimson glow of the Warp, Angron began to regenerate. In just a few seconds, half of his body had already reformed.
"It's useless. I am immortal! This is exhilarating—I can finally feel the thrill of battle!"
For the first time since the fight began, Angron spoke.
