He drugged her

Valerie extended her index finger and poked Nadia Clark's forehead playfully. "You little rascal."

"Why don't you help me think of a name?" Nadia suggested.

"How about Vera?" Valerie replied casually.

Nadia smiled and asked, "Why Vera?"

"Because we're like the ghostly women from those old tales, here to 'charm' the men at the club!" Valerie said with a mischievous glint in her eye.

Nadia chuckled. Despite Valerie's playful demeanor, she knew her sister-in-law was the most reliable person she knew.

As night fell, the Night Enchantment Club, the largest and most luxurious entertainment venue in Riverside City, came alive with various nightlife activities.

Thanks to Valerie's recommendation, Nadia Clark was set to be the star performer of the evening.

Watching Nadia's graceful performance on stage, Valerie's boss, Fernan, couldn't help but ask, "Valerie, where did you find such a talented singer?"

"She's my boyfriend's younger sister," Valerie replied with a smile, her eyes fixed on Nadia on the stage.

Fernan raised an eyebrow. "Some rich kid just told me he wants her to join him for drinks."

"Forget it! Don't even think about messing with my sister-in-law!" Valerie shot Fernan a warning look.

Fernan brushed his bangs off his forehead and walked away, clearly disappointed.

Valerie turned her gaze back to Nadia on the stage and couldn't help but smile warmly.

Meanwhile, in a luxurious VIP booth, a pair of indignant eyes were fixed on Nadia Clark, who was singing on stage. The owner of those eyes looked like she wanted to tear Nadia apart.

How did Nadia Clark come back to Riverside City? Why couldn't she just disappear forever?

Elise had always thought that Nadia had returned to her godforsaken hometown, but to her surprise, Nadia was back in Riverside City.

Elise had worked hard to achieve her current status and wealth. She couldn't let Nadia ruin it all.

Elise was no longer the same person she used to be. Dressed in limited-edition designer clothes, adorned with gold and silver, she looked every bit the wealthy lady she had become.

No, she was already a wealthy lady. Thanks to Nadia Clark, she was now the fiancée of the First Young Master of the prestigious Mitchell Family Group.

At that moment, Geraldo Mitchell, dressed in a sleek black suit that exuded an irresistible aura of authority and maturity, entered the Night Enchantment Club with a few colleagues in tow.

As he walked through the lobby, he heard a familiar voice singing and stopped in his tracks, looking in the direction of the sound.

Seeing Nadia Clark on stage, singing her heart out, Geraldo Mitchell couldn't help but clench his fists.

Under the spotlight, she wore a white dress that made her look pure and untainted. Her lightly made-up face appeared even sweeter, capturing the hearts of many men.

But!

Elise!

As the fiancée of Geraldo Mitchell, the First Young Master of the Mitchell Family, she had lowered herself to sing in a place like this.

Was she dissatisfied with the money he gave her, or was her true nature just that wild and unrestrained?

"Young Master, what's wrong?" Gregory asked instinctively when he saw Geraldo Mitchell glaring angrily at the woman on stage.

When he got a clearer look at the woman, he couldn't help but feel puzzled. "Hey! Isn't that..."

Geraldo snapped out of his thoughts, closed his eyes briefly, and coldly interrupted Gregory. "It's nothing. Let's go."

Geraldo felt a wave of disappointment wash over him because of Elise's actions.

Gregory glanced at Nadia Clark on stage, then at Geraldo Mitchell, who was already walking away. He scratched the back of his head and continued to move forward.

Last time, when he was bitten by a venomous snake, it was his sister-in-law who had saved him just in time. If it weren't for her, he wouldn't have made it out of that mountain alive.

He owed her his life. Shouldn't he at least go and say hello?

But now wasn't the time for greetings; they had important matters to attend to. With these thoughts in mind, Gregory quickly caught up with Geraldo Mitchell.

Meanwhile, in a private booth, a group of men and women were chatting and laughing.

"Elise, did you hear? Our second-generation official Rodney, Young Master Rodney, got rejected by that singer on stage!" Wynter, a friend sitting nearby, said with a laugh.

Rodney had just gone to the club owner, asking him to call the singer down to join them for drinks.

But the owner said she only performed and didn't sell her company, which was a real slap in the face for Rodney.

Wynter's words brought Elise back to reality.

Nadia Clark only performed and didn't sell her company?

Ha! Singing in a place like this and still pretending to be virtuous? How ridiculous!

Elise mocked Nadia Clark in her mind, then took out her phone to snap a picture of Nadia on stage. Who knows, it might come in handy later.

Speaking of which, Wynter was the daughter of a clothing brand company's owner. When Elise arrived in Riverside City, it was Fletcher Mitchell, the younger brother of First Young Master Mitchell, who introduced her to Wynter.

Upon hearing that Elise was First Young Master Mitchell's fiancée, Wynter became exceptionally attentive to her, even volunteering to be her tour guide.

When two women just meet and one is overly nice to the other, there's usually an ulterior motive. Elise knew exactly what Wynter wanted from her.

Talking about the Mitchell Family, Elise had been living in that luxurious yet cold mansion for over two months and still hadn't seen First Young Master Mitchell in person.

How mysterious could this First Young Master Mitchell be? Even Butler Lee wouldn't reveal Young Master real name to her.

Elise felt a bit helpless, but she wasn't bored. After all, First Young Master Mitchell had given her the power to get whatever she wanted.

First, she acquired the decoration company in Seaside City where she and Nadia Clark used to work and fired Nadia. She then ordered all the top interior design companies in Seaside City to refuse to hire anyone named Nadia Clark.

After driving Nadia away, Elise thought she could finally relax. Then she heard that the headquarters of the Mitchell Family Group was in Riverside City. So, she asked Butler Lee to book her a flight to Riverside City, wanting to check it out herself.

After all, the Mitchell Family Group belonged to First Young Master Mitchell. Once she married him, wouldn't the Mitchell Family Group be hers too? The thought made Elise feel delighted, so she was even more eager to visit Riverside City.

"So many women would kill to get into our Young Master Rodney's bed. And that woman doesn't even appreciate it!" Wynter teased, seeing Rodney sitting gloomily in the VIP lounge, drinking in a sullen mood.

Elise snapped back to reality upon hearing Wynter's words, her face darkening involuntarily.

A sinister gleam flashed through Elise's mind, and a chilling smile curled at the corners of her lips. "Young Master Rodney, if you're interested in that girl on stage, I have an idea that might help you win her over."

Rodney's interest piqued as soon as he heard Elise's words. He promptly got up and sat next to her.

"First Young Madam Mitchell, let's hear it," he said eagerly.

Elise grinned. "That girl on stage, you can tell she's fresh out of school, inexperienced in the ways of the world. If you bluntly ask her to drink with you, she won't play along. So, you need to be gentle."

Even Wynter, who was sitting nearby, became intrigued and couldn't help but chime in, "Elise, hurry up and tell us!"

Elise smiled knowingly and beckoned Rodney and Wynter to come closer, indicating they should listen carefully.

Meanwhile, Nadia Clark had just finished her song and stepped down from the stage, receiving a bouquet of vibrant roses from a waiter.

Attached to the roses was a card that read: "Vera, your singing is beautiful! Keep it up!"

Seeing the words on the card, Nadia couldn't help but smile. It felt wonderful to receive encouragement from others.

At that moment, Rodney approached Nadia with two glasses of wine in hand.

Simultaneously, Fletcher Mitchell and a few of his friends entered the Night Charm Club.

When Fletcher spotted Nadia, he intended to greet her, but he noticed a polite man had already approached her, so he stopped in his tracks.

"Fletcher, what are you looking at? Come on, we've booked a private room to celebrate your promotion to General Manager of Deli Real Estate!" his friend Kingston said, patting Fletcher on the shoulder. Fletcher snapped out of his thoughts and nodded.

Kingston continued, "That woman on stage just now sang really well! I've never seen her before; she must be new!"

"Mm," Fletcher Mitchell responded softly, walking thoughtfully alongside Kingston.

Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Nadia Clark chatting and laughing with that man. A pang of sadness hit him. Why did she come to a place like this to sing?

Wasn't her foot injured? She had acted so pitiful in front of him during the day, but now, at night, she was here in an entertainment club, cozying up to the mayor's son.

"Mr. Rodney, I'm glad you like my singing, but I can't accept these roses," Nadia Clark politely declined upon learning that the bouquet was from Rodney.

Elise had mentioned that Nadia had a soft spot for men who were particularly gentlemanly.

So Rodney decided to play the role of a refined gentleman to get closer to Nadia.

"Vera, I don't mean anything by it. I just thought your singing was beautiful and wanted to encourage you with some flowers" Rodney continued.

Nadia looked at Rodney, who was dressed in a light blue suit, with a neat crew cut, and an overall dignified appearance. She accepted his encouragement.

"Thank you," Nadia said with a slight smile, accepting the bouquet of roses. Rodney then handed a glass to Nadia.

"Come on, let's have a drink!"

"No, I don't drink," Nadia declined again.

Rodney grinned. "It's not alcohol, it's just a soft drink. You've been singing on stage for so long, you must be thirsty. Try it, it's really good."

Feeling a bit parched, Nadia realized she was indeed thirsty. She didn't notice Rodney's sly intentions.

With his coaxing, she unsuspectingly drank the beverage he handed her.

After finishing the drink, Nadia chatted with Rodney for a while, but soon she felt dizzy and unsteady on her feet.

Rodney quickly supported her, smiling as he said, "You must be tired from singing. Let me take you upstairs to rest."

"No, thank you. I need to find my..." sister-in-law. Nadia Clark's words trailed off as her head spun even more, giving her the sensation that the world was turning upside down.

"Let me help you upstairs to rest. I have a VIP suite up there where you can lie down," Rodney said with a lecherous grin.

Before she knew it, Nadia was being led by Rodney to the private VIP rooms upstairs. Elise had mentioned that Nadia was very "pure," untouched by any man, which only fueled Rodney's desire to possess her.

Once inside the suite, Rodney roughly pushed Nadia onto the large bed. He couldn't wait to taste this budding flower.

The chiffon dress she wore hiked up to her thighs, revealing her smooth, fair skin and delicate figure, exuding a fresh, youthful allure.

Rodney's blood boiled as he hungrily stripped off his clothes like a predator.

Nadia, in her dazed state, opened her eyes to see Rodney's beastly expression, causing her heart to race. "You..."

Rodney, consumed with lust, lunged at Nadia, eager to ravage her.

Using all her strength, Nadia pushed against Rodney. Though her mind was in turmoil, she remained clear-headed. She feigned a coquettish tone, "Don't rush!"

Hearing Nadia's soft, bone-melting voice, Rodney suddenly paused.

"Go take a shower first..." Nadia smiled weakly, lifting her hand with effort to touch Rodney's cheek. "You smell all sweaty..."

Rodney's face lit up with joy at her words.

"You want to be with me?"

"Only the rich or powerful can afford to be here. If I stick with you, I'll have a good life!" Nadia Clark deliberately made herself sound like a gold digger.

Rodney was overjoyed and planted a firm kiss on Nadia's cheek.

"Sweetheart, you can help me with my bath!"

"It's my first time, I'm shy. You go ahead. I'll wait for you..." Nadia forced a smile.

Rodney seemed to believe her and turned to head to the bathroom. As soon as he was out of sight, Nadia got up and stumbled toward the door.

She had barely taken a few steps outside when Rodney grabbed her wrist.

"I knew you weren't as innocent as you seemed. Trying to fool me? Not a chance!"

Rodney snarled, but then, to avoid causing a scene, he added in a fake sweet tone, "Sweetheart, don't go. I'm sorry, okay? Stop making a fuss and come back with me!"

"Let go of me!" Nadia struggled, but her head was spinning, and she felt increasingly weak.

"Didn't you like the flowers I gave you?" Rodney asked as he dragged Nadia back toward his VIP suite.

Nadia's foot was already injured, and her desperate attempt to escape had made it worse. She stumbled and fell to the ground.

Rodney quickly squatted down and wrapped his arm around Nadia's waist, his demeanor like a wolf in sheep's clothing. "Sweetheart, did you hurt yourself?"

At that moment, a few men walked out of the VIP suite across the hall.

Nadia looked up, and her eyes lit up when she recognized someone among them.
