WHAT SHE BADLY NEEDED

Suddenly

The jingling of keys sounded followed by the creak of the door as it opened.

Stepping in, a bulky rough-looking man, with no emotion on his phizog appeared in Jazmin's line of sight, the very same man she saw bullying the flower. Her fury like bubbles, rose to the surface at the sight of him.

"Boss, is it time?" Asked the tall thug guy while he ambulated from the window. The boss only gave him a nod without uttering a word.

"Let me go you lowly thugs! what do you want from me!"

"Don't you dare call my baby a lowly thug again!" a woman emerged from behind the bulky man with the color of seriousness on her face. She threw a glare at Jazmin as though it was a defensive measure to protect the name of her baby who was the bulky man.

"You! What are you doing here?"

Jazmin's eyes widened and the question came out subconsciously. That was the very same woman she had wanted to save!

"Following my husband isn't it obvious? Cease looking at me with those animus eyes before I plug them out of their sockets."

"I was helping you"- Jazmin, through gritted teeth.

"Never asked anyone to help me. Or did you perhaps hear me crying for help like the way you are doing now?"

The woman replied with a conceited snort, one that did not suit the manifest fact that although Jazmin was in a predicament, her status was beyond what the woman could even dream about.

"Then was that all an act?"

"If it wasn't then why on earth would my baby assault me? We sometimes disagree and even threaten each other but love always wins. If you think about it, even your car's punctured tyres invite the question"

The woman answered the obvious. Every word she said was a note of lesson in Jazmin's mind.

Many times, coincidence is not real.

"Fine, you have the car so let me go for God's sake!"

"Shut up! who said we wanted your car?" The bulky man spoke for the first time since his arrival but the words came out in a more commanding tone than they should be.

"Your actions said it aloud!" Jazmin retorted with asperity.

The intertwined web of anger and regret in her heart caused by the woman before her provoked her thoroughly. Though these people were strangers, she developed furious hate towards them for what they had done.

"I have never met a person as audacious as you when in the same condition as yours. If I hadn't received the orders to not touch a hair on your head, I would have shown you your place right now"

The bulky man's voice was deafening thunder in Jazmin's ears. She wanted to retort again but submitting to circumstances was the wisest choice for her at the moment.

"Double check if she is well secured and won't succeed in an attempt to escape"

The bulky man gave words of orders to the taller thug before dragging his legs and his wife out of the room with their umbrella.

"What are you doing, don't touch me!"

Jazmin felt revolted at the closeness of the tall thug while he checked the ropes that secured her to the chair.

"The person who orchestrated your abduction will send his people to take you. Our job was to bring you here and it is done"

"What?" Jazmin's mouth was left agape by his words.

"Goodbye gal"

The guy too left anon after he was done checking the ropes.

"This can't be happening to me"

Alone in the room, Jazmin squeezed her eyes but no tears came out. If only she was a bit more cautious of her surroundings then perhaps, she wouldn't be tied here like a kidnapped victim.

"Mom please find me soon"

She did not want to cry or lose hope and instead focused on praying in her heart, for protection and her mother to find her quickly. She didn't want to end up somewhere again.

Time passed but nothing changed and no one came.

After the tall guy double-checked the ropes securing her in one place, she had given up the idea of escaping and simply let things go as they should happen but one thing's for certain, whatever she was thinking might happen later, would be in her favour. She believed that her mother would trace her location.

"Come on please, find me quickly, find me soon"

Every passing second of waiting was so mind-torturing. To add fuel to the fire, the tall guy forgot to shut the window tightly, as a result, it was blown open by a gust of wind.

The candle, the only source of light in the room began to dance to the rhythm of the gusty wind excitedly. In a short while, the room got enveloped in darkness after the rain from the outside followed the gust of wind into the room, extinguishing the candle for good.

"This is the limit!" Jazmin shouted, she went bananas.

In the darkness, screeching sounds of the chair could be heard as Jazmin resumed her attempt to escape by at least trying to move with the chair, but it was harder than she thought.

"Anyone outside!? give me a-"

The door burst open suddenly, cutting into her scream.

Looking at the entrance, Jazmin saw silhouettes of three men having wrestler's physique that displayed intimidation than friendly.

It went without saying that they weren't friends but enemies.

One of them lit the room once again with the touch of his phone causing Jazmin's eyes to tremble while adjusting to the brightness. She heard one of them say

"Bring her to the van"

"No, you can't" came out from Jazmin on the spur of the moment.

This cannot be happening, she can't allow herself to be abducted by these people! Yet as intimidating as their size and physique were, was it even possible to entertain that thought? Who knows if they were armed too.
