Chapter 10: The Unexpected Double Dungeon

After their ranking assessment, Mon and Bert officially became hunters under the Hunter Association Philippines (HAP). Mon was classified as an E-Rank due to his Dimensional Storage, which was seen as a logistical skill rather than a combat ability. Meanwhile, Bert was given an A-Rank due to his Domain Expansion, an ability that could drastically weaken enemies while boosting his own power.

Despite their differing ranks, the brothers decided to start from the bottom and joined a party of hunters clearing F-Rank Dungeons to gain experience and credibility. Their new party, however, was composed of arrogant hunters who looked down on newcomers, especially Mon, because of his E-Rank status.

The First Dungeon

The party entered a standard F-Rank Dungeon, which was supposed to be an easy clearing mission. The enemies were weak goblins, and the group quickly dispatched them without much effort. Mon and Bert worked efficiently, handling their share of the battle with precision. The party leader, a boastful D-Rank Hunter, continued to underestimate Mon despite his Dual Handguns Mastery, assuming he was just there for item storage.

The Hidden Danger – A Double Dungeon

Just as they were about to exit, a strange energy fluctuation surged inside the dungeon. The walls trembled, and the ground cracked, revealing an unexpected hidden entrance leading to another dungeon.

"No way... This is a Double Dungeon?!" one of the hunters shouted in panic.

Double Dungeons were extremely rare, and their difficulty was unpredictable. There were cases where they housed high-ranking monsters far beyond the level of the hunters inside. Fear spread among the party members, and they considered retreating.

"We should leave while we can!" one of them said, his hands shaking.

But Mon and Bert exchanged glances, sensing an opportunity.

"We can handle this," Bert said with confidence.

"If we retreat now, we won't know what kind of disaster this might unleash," Mon added.

Despite protests from the others, the brothers stepped forward into the second dungeon. The rest of the party hesitated but had no choice but to follow.

The High Orcs Appear

The deeper they ventured, the more ominous the atmosphere became. Suddenly, a massive roar echoed, and out of the darkness, towering figures emerged—High Orcs, creatures known to be at least B-Rank in strength.

"We're dead! These aren't F-Rank monsters!" someone screamed.

The party froze in fear, but Mon and Bert quickly took action.

Bert activated his Domain Expansion, instantly weakening all the High Orcs while boosting his own power.

Mon assessed the battlefield, analyzing weaknesses in their enemy's movements.

One of the High Orcs charged toward Mon, its massive axe swinging down. At the last second, Mon opened his Dimensional Storage mid-air—the axe vanished into the void, leaving the confused orc wide open.

In a swift motion, Mon reopened the storage, releasing the axe straight through the orc's torso. The impact was instant—the monster collapsed, lifeless.

The other hunters stood in shock.

"Did… did he just one-shot a High Orc?!"

Meanwhile, Bert engaged two High Orcs at once, his speed and raw power overwhelming them under the effects of his Domain Expansion. Within moments, the battlefield belonged to the brothers.

The Boss – The Orc Hero

A towering Orc Hero, classified as an A-Rank monster, emerged. Its battle-scarred armor and enormous weapon made the previous High Orcs look like mere foot soldiers. The remaining hunters were frozen in terror.

"An A-Rank… we don't stand a chance!"

But Mon and Bert stood their ground.

Mon's mind raced as he considered a strategy.

Bert prepared his daggers, his instincts telling him this was their ultimate test.

The Orc Hero roared, charging straight at them.

The battle was about to begin.
