CHAPTER 9: END OF THE ADVENTURE

By noon, Ray had explored the bamboo forest and mapped it according to the locations he observed.

The remainder of the Bamboo Forest was unremarkable, featuring only ordinary bamboo trees and sparse wildlife and vegetation.

At the edge of the forest, there lies a path descending the mountain, which could potentially be his route to the outside world.

"With this, the mapping of all the bamboo forests is complete. Now, only the forest opposite the bamboo forest remains to be mapped."

"Once I have mapped all the mountains where I'm staying, I can leave to visit the nearby village to purchase supplies," Ray spoke to himself on his way back to the pond.

After reaching the pond Ray sat on the ground rearranged the items in his hand back into the bag and started packing everything left around him.

Then he took down the tent lying next to the pond, folded it back into the bag, took the bag and the fishing rod onto his shoulders, and started his return journey.

Upon arriving at the house, Ray observed that the fallen leaves in front of the house had been gathered by forest animals and taken back to their nests.

"After surveying the entire area, he is currently in, I will see if I can gather a few fresh leaves from the tree and make them into tea leaves," Ray murmured to himself while opening his front door.

After entering his house, Ray put his fire axe next to the shoe rack, carried his bag into the house, and started unloading it so he could place the items in their proper places.

In a few minutes, Ray has tidied up his house by rearranging all the used items.

"Ha," Ray sighed heavily.

"Now that the arduous work is completed, I should take a bath and commence preparing lunch."

Without any further thought, Ray entered the bathroom with a towel and emerged completely refreshed.

Next, Ray proceeded to the kitchen, prepared some noodles for his lunch, and began eating at the dining table.

After having his lunch, Ray went to his bedroom to take a nap as he hadn't slept well the previous night.

Within a few seconds of lying on the bed, Ray fell into a deep sleep.

By the time Ray woke up, it was already night, and the stars were shining brightly in the sky.

Ray groggily woke up, prepared some food, ate quickly, and returned to the room to continue his sleep.

The following morning, Ray woke up early, freshened up, and left his house with an axe and a few sheets of paper, all while eating some bread.

"Today, I must complete the task of mapping the area surrounding my house."

Ray declared to himself and started moving into the forest while clearing the path with the axe.

Upon entering the forest, Ray discovered that the forest mainly consists of fruit trees and trees useful for wood constructions such as plywood, sandalwood, etc.

The left side of the forest contains numerous varieties of fruit plants, whereas the right side features a few useful trees and is home to many animals such as deer, peacocks, and horses.

Ray documented the terrain based on the different habitats and completed his work by evening, after which he returned to his house.

After entering his house, Ray sat at the study table and laid out the maps he had drawn yesterday and today. He then began redrawing them on a larger sheet with minimized details to observe the entire map.

Upon completing the map, Ray discovered that he was situated on a large mountain surrounded by a small lake in four directions. The lake, in turn, was surrounded by eight mountains interlinked with each other, forming a barrier to and from the outside world.

Now that Ray is clear about his surroundings, the only thing he has not investigated is the large tree situated at the back of his house, which occupies a large part of the mountain.

"Now, the mapping is done, let's go and check the tree and see if it's useful."

Ray with such thought left his house and came to his backyard where he observed keenly that the tree was slightly bent maybe due to yesterday's earthquake.

"I hope It won't fall on my house during my sleep," Ray muttered

Ray got close to it and observed that there were a lot of brunt marks on it possibly due to lightning strikes.

"I guess the tree is dying, it suffered a lightning strike and then the earthquake severed a lot of its roots." Ray thought to himself

"If there is an opportunity to save it, I hope to do so before it becomes a dead tree."

"At the very least, I need to identify the type of tree before attempting to save it. Such large trees did not exist in the previous world, and I am not a farmer skilled in tree cultivation."

"Perhaps I should visit the nearby village tomorrow to seek a solution for saving this tree."

As Ray was muttering to himself, a light curtain suddenly appeared in front of him with a detailed description of the tree.

Ray, who was observing the tree, jumped in fright at the sudden appearance of the screen and began to vigilantly observe his surroundings.

After a few seconds of silence, Ray thought, "What was the screen just now?"

After deep thought, Ray remembered that he had acquired three talents upon being transported here: the body of an immortal, spirit eye, and endless money.

The screen was a representation of the spirit eye.

Upon remembering this Ray called " Spirit eye, spirit eye." but there was no response.

Ray feels embarrassed by his behavior and begins to recall the initial sensation of the skill activation.

Ray once again began watching the tree intently and the screen reappeared in front of him which made Him extremely happy.

Ray happily looked at the screen, observed the tree, then returned his gaze to the screen, and again to the tree. He repeated this action several times before opening his mouth in shock.
