You know what? I can’t let it go that easily.

Whatever just happened between Leander and I—almost happened—it’s too powerful for me to just let it drop and go about my day.

More importantly, I can’t let him drown it in scotch and pretend it didn’t happen. Because I know he felt it every bit as strongly as I did. Judging by the look in his eyes, maybe even more.

“Yes we are,” he says gruffly, not looking at me.
