Emily
Something is wrong. I know it.
I felt off the second the guys left me alone with Naida, and the dread has only grown over the course of the day. At first I could manage it, but for the last two hours I’ve been pacing the floor like a maniac.
Then a sudden force knocked me to my knees, and now I can’t stop shaking. My hand flies to my stomach, fearful the impact might have jarred the baby. If my first thoughts were for my pregnancy, the next ones fly to the men I love so deeply.
The only way I could feel a blow like that is if Thomas and Azriel have been hurt. My stomach feels like it’s about to fall out of my mouth, and I can’t catch my breath. Working overtime to steady myself, I hold my stomach tighter as I get to my feet.
Scouting mission, my ass. They’ve gone to do something without me. Something major.
