When I turned around in bed and caught sight of the time displayed in bright blue numbers on my nightstand, I groaned in frustration. It was two o’clock in the morning already, and without the possibility of sleep in sight, and a parched throat, I left my room in search of something to drink. Something stronger than water.

My footsteps ruffled the carpet in the dimly lit hallway as I tiredly dragged my feet along it on my way downstairs. I was exhausted, but for some reason, I hadn’t been able to fall asleep all night.
