Chapter 37: Noah

“No,” growled the girl as she stormed up to the older man. “Give him the boy, but the redhead is mine. She hasn’t suffered enough yet. Give me the gun.”

“Why?” I blurted, losing my level-headedness that’d been hanging by a thread already. “What has Madison done to you to deserve that?”

The girl directed a withering glare at me. “I despise girls like her. All she has to do is throw her ass and boobs around and rich men come flocking. Girls like her don’t know what it’s like to work your life away and never get anywhere. Not all of us can buy our way out with sex!”
