What Joe was suggesting for us to do, I knew it would change things between us. Good or bad, our relationship wouldn’t be able to stay the same if we went through with this… 


“You two will announce the engagement at the press conference,” Joe said and spun on his heel, facing the whole room as he placed his hands on his hips. “And we will reveal the DNA test which confirmed that Chris is Noah’s son, and assure them that he had still been fertile five years ago.”


Cora pushed herself up out of her seat, her abruptness drawing everyone’s attention to her. “That will never work.” 


Joe raised a brow, crossing his arms over his chest. “And why not?” 


Madison bit her bottom lip and sucked that tantalizing piece of skin into her mouth. My attention wavered for a second before I looked back to Joe and Cora.
