"Why would I marry you then?"
"Waiting for you to run away from another wedding, only to come back again?"
"Dashiell, my time is valuable too. I don't have the luxury to wait for you anymore."
I said calmly.
After a long silence, Dashiell spoke in a low voice, "It won't happen again. There won't be a next time. Juniper, please give me one last chance, will you?"
"I'm already married. We've gotten our marriage license. We're legally husband and wife."
"Dashiell, don't tell me you want to be the other woman, breaking up someone else's family?"
I looked at Dashiell with amusement, "I didn't know you had a thing for married women."
Dashiell stared at me in shock. I thought he'd at least have the decency to stop pestering me, but when he opened his mouth, he completely disgusted me again.
